Some Thoughts From A Loyal Customer For the last twenty five years, I have been coming to Herb Gordon Subaru and for the last twenty five years, I have watched the ‘crew’ do their thing For the last twenty five years, I have been coming to Herb Gordon Subaru and for the last twenty five years, I have watched the ‘crew’ do their thing and witnessed a level of professionalism and expertise that is unsurpassed. HG Subaru is a tightly run ship, composed of equal parts coordination and camaraderie amongst the staff, skillful ability to communicate to the customer, and a personal courtesy towards us that is beyond anything I’ve experienced at any other organization. The service group at HGS does not fail to make a customer feel invaluable. I never leave the place without a smile on my face, a belly full of fun treats, and a respect for and trust in the way the company is run, that just grows and grows. My husband (who does NOT drive a Subaru) is continually in awe of and, I won’t lie, a little envious, at just how well I am taken care of each time I set foot in that door. If it’s a loaner I need, a loaner I receive. If it’s a wait job, I am always politely engaged with and tended to, until the work is complete. The follow up phone calls always end with with a meaningful ‘regards to Robin’ (my husband), or a super friendly, ’have a great summer!’ or some other such equally sincere wish for my well-being. The QUALITY of care toward the customer is simply unique, and exceptional. Thoreau writes, that ‘success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it’. If hard work, and dedication, helpfulness and a kind word for free are signs of a successful business, then this group of employees is too busy being busy to probably ever know just how successful they are. I never fill out these things, but as the lifespan of my SECOND Subaru nears it’s end, I thought it was time I gave you lot a piece of my mind. Last time I brought the car in, I was helped by Michael Goodman. Special as he is, he is only as special as any other of the entire service team, whom I fondly address by first name. I am familiar with them now, and that is a true and rare pleasure these days *anywhere* let’s face it, let alone…a ‘stereotypical’ car dealership. There is nothing ‘typical’, about these guys…they are just the most personable bunch of people, every single one, and it’s a joy to know them, frankly. I joke, every time I leave, that I hope something goes wrong with the car so that I can come visit again soon. Unfortunately, or not, depending on how you see it, the product is built so well that I am often denied that pleasure. But…from sales, to service, to parts and labor…you truly have become ‘family’ to me, and I guess, if you didn’t yet grasp just how delighted working with you all over the years has made me…perhaps now…you do. You are the quintessential definition of what it takes to make and BE a great team, and I am truly proud to be a Subaru owner, in your most capable and kind hands.
