Jacque showed us the exact vehicle we came in to the dealership to see. He thoroughly walked us through each step of the buying process while explaining what was going on and why. Jacque not only demonstrated all of the features of the car we were interested in, but also gave insight to the history of those features and the model itself. Can't believe I returned to this dealer after my experience with how they mishandled my DE titling in April 2021. At first, in September (a Saturday) we went to look at a Kia K5 (not for us). My w experience with how they mishandled my DE titling in April 2021. At first, in September (a Saturday) we went to look at a Kia K5 (not for us). My wife then saw the Honda sign and had mentioned she liked the Accord. I told her it was THAT dealer; but she saw the 2022 Accord 1.5T Sport in Sonic Gray Pearl (last six of VIN: 068421). They were offering "$2,000.00 over assessed value for any trade!" Assessed value of my 2012 Kia Soul was $1,932.00...sounds good, right? Eh, THEN the used car assessor came over and announced that "REQUIRED REPAIRS to my Soul (mandated by MD law) totaled $2,300 and therefore my trade was worth $1,700.00. But wait... because I was a repeat customer, they would waive the $300.00 and generously allow me $2,000.00 for my trade! Whatta Guy!! Next a sales manager (don't recall name, wore braces) told me I had to pay $5,000.00 OVER MSRP. I said "forget it" then looked at my wife... she was disappointed and I said "we're getting ripped off, do you really want this Accord?" Unfortunately, "yes". When sales manager departed, my salesman, Blaine Dillport, said: "sorry, I have no control over what they do". Begrudgingly, I bought the Accord. BUT WAIT, the best is yet to come!! The following Monday I called Blaine and asked him if the Soul had been repaired. He stated : "No, it's over at the resale lot". I asked him to check for sure because a neighbor was interested in the Soul. and they apparently had $2,300.00 worth of repairs to make. He told me to call back later and he'd have more information. I called him on Tuesday and he said "the Soul won't pass MD inspection, so it's being sent to auction." I asked: "Aren't you doing repairs... I PAID $1,932.00 for those 'MANDATORY REPAIRS'. Blaine stated "nah, we don't repair them if they won't pass inspection... they go straight to the auction". Sorry if I'm throwing Blaine under the bus here; but he was the only honest person I dealt with throughout this process. Repeat customer... NO BREAK on the $5,000.00 upcharge and ripped-off $1,932.00 so they could repair the mandatory defects with the Soul. When I told this story to my local DE Honda dealer,he couldn't believe it. When I told him I was pissed-off enough to sell the 2021 Ridgeline RTL-E I bought from Heritage in 2021, he gave me an awesome deal for my Ridgeline and sold me a 2023 Ridgeline Black Edition in Sonic Gray Pearl :?) with absolutely NO UPCHARGE. I'll NEVER recommend Heritage Honda Bel Air to anyone... period!! The reason it took me a while to write this review is that we just received our DE registration for this Accord. BTW, they know I am a Disabled Veteran, 25 years of service senior AF Officer (began career as an E-1). More
