I had one of the worst sales interactions with this company I have ever had. I am currently working in Montreal but live in Vermont and called Heritage about a Prius that I was ready to pull the trigge company I have ever had. Even though I was willing to have my sister test drive it for me, sign off on any liability, or do anything else to make this process work, they refused to sell me the car as I was not seeing it in person. When I called the bank and other car based non profit, they were both baffled by this rule and had never heard such a thing. After talking with three different people over the course of a full day and getting very vague answers, I finally was able to talk to someone who told me that they could do delivery next week since I would be home then, I would just need to sign an e-contract tomorrow and make a deposit, which I was happy to do. They said they would call me. They didn't call, so I called three different people trying to get in contact with them, no one answers. None of them returned my call. Finally I get through to a completely new salesman and he has no idea what's going on so he has me talk to another person, who has me talk to another person. They also don't know what's going on. I am told to call a sales manager, but I have to leave voicemails for both sales managers because they will not answer their phone. Over an hour later I finally get a call back. He is also being vague and telling me sales managers have to take a look at situations and see if it warrants a bend of the rules. I finally get him to give me an answer, and he says not only will he not help me buy the car, but the car sold that morning. After being on the phone with him for 10 minutes, he FINALLY thinks to tell me the car already sold. I am a very patient and kind person, I have worked in the service industry and am sympathetic to how difficult it can be to make decisions and try to make people happy. I have never once left a negative review, but I felt this situation finally warranted it. This organization is confused about their own policies, they are not willing to work very hard to figure out a situation, and they left me in the lurch for 2 days. Now that cars are selling quickly, they don't seem to care about customers or making things right. More
