Just had my Accord V-6 coupe pin-striped and wowee - Mike did a fabulous job. I am now driving a really "hot" looking car - but as you know - sporty is great but the golf clubs have to fit in the trunk and they do. This is my second car from Mike - and my husband just got his first Accord (long time Toyota owner) and he is pleased. Thanks, Mike. We love doing business with you! More

Most Pleasant car-buying experience ever! After shopping many used cars via Internet, I located one I liked at Honda of Ocala; my sales contact was Kevin, and finance handled by Ovi. Classic case of why people dislike car dealers I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Honda of Ocala three days ago. I will start with summarizing my car buying experience and recommendation, I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Honda of Ocala three days ago. I will start with summarizing my car buying experience and recommendation, and then give more details. I would NOT recommend buying from Honda of Ocala. Even though the internet salesman, David Newcomer, was nice and accommodating, other managers and the Finance guy turned the overall experience into a nightmare for me. First of all, my appointment with David was at 3 PM, and by the time we left it was 9 PM!!!. I now see that this is their strategy to wear you down and make you overlook details of your deal. I was preapproved for the best rate from CampusUSA, and even though I gave them the preapproval letter at the very beginning, they tried to give me a higher interest rate from another institution! It was already 8:30 PM when the finance guy accepted into his office; when I objected to the higher interest rate, he said I would have to leave and come back later with a check from Campus USA if I want to go with them! Note that CampusUSA is one of their institutions they get financing from directly! By the time the manager agreed to give me the same rate on my preapproval letter, the finance guy rushed the papers and the whole signing of pages and pages of documents were done in 10 minutes! When I got home, I noticed that there was a huge gap between the interest rate and the APR on the papers I signed. Naturally, I called the next day to ask about this, which brings me to my seconds issue with the Dealership: The management neither wants to hear from you again, nor cares about your concerns/questions once you sign the papers and leave with the new car. When I called back the next day to clarify financing conditions they made me sign in a rush, the manager who picked up the phone was very rude and rushed to end the conversation. He made me feel as if I was a burden and a waste of his time. The third biggest issue is that they don’t stand by the prices and specials they put on their OWN WEBSITE! The car I bought was advertised at $15,000 on their website, and they first tried to sell it to me at $15,600; they said “oh, $15,000 was put online by accident”! In addition, they gave for my 15 years old Mazda the bare minimum for trade-in; KBB trade in price for the same mileage same condition was $1000, they offered me only $500! When I showed them their $500 trade-in special advertised on their OWN WEBSITE and asked them to add that on the trade-in price, they said “well, that is only for people who don’t have a trade-in vehicle”. It makes no sense, why do you call it trade-in assistance if it is cash assistance for people with no trade-ins! They put specials on their website to draw people in to the dealership and then find a way to get out of their word. So overall, they did not let any negotiation on the price, they gave me lower than what my trade-in was valued at, and they did not honor their internet special. Honda of Ocala is an example of why people don’t like car dealers; by the time it was time to sign the deal, 6 hours have passed, I was almost passing out of low blood sugar and I just wanted to sign the papers and get out of there. I now regret buying from them. More

This purpose behind purchasing new and from this dealership was based on hearing how so many others had been treated so well. I unfortunately was not one of those people. The entire process has been a total nightmare and I would not in good faith, recommend this dealership to any friends or family. Approximately two weeks after purchasing my 2015 Accord V6 Touring, I noticed "spiderwebs" in the clear coat. I contacted the service department immediately and was put into a rental while the vehicle was sent to the body shop for what I was told to be a simple polish job on the body. I picked the car up two days later and it was worse than it was when I first dropped it off! The body shop had actually taken the paint down to metal at almost twenty spots on the vehicle! So it was dropped back off at the dealership yet again. I was called to come and retrieve the vehicle about a week later, in which a horrific attempt to fill the damage was blatantly obvious almost immediately. I was forced to contact Honda Corporate who conducted their own investigation. Their conclusion was that the condition was caused by incorrect vehicle care by the dealership, not a defective Honda product. This put me back at square one with Honda of Ocala. I had a sit down meeting with a supervisor of the Morgan Auto Group, the owner of the body shop who was causing the damage, as well as the service manager. All who were telling me that what I was seeing on my vehicle was "refractions" in the paint. I do not feel that they understand what a true refraction is, a color change. These are painfully obvious scratches in the vehicles finish! They only offered to have the car clay bar'd and waxed, which does not fix bad I had conducted my own research by taking the vehicle to three other body shops that are local, and they all advised me the same: the car needs to be repainted and those are not refractions. They are scratches in the clear coat. I was advised by Honda Corporate that it was up to the dealership to correct the issues. To which I was told by service that they were willing to repaint only two spots in which the paint damage was very obvious. As for the way the clear coat looked, Honda of Ocala told me that they were not going to do anything! (This all happened with the vehicle only having about 500 miles on it, and about three to four months worth of back and forth. All for me to end up with a car that needs to be repainted and finished properly.) Please steer clear of this dealership!! Thank you! More

Warranty Service Recently my wife and I experienced a battery problem with our 2013 CRV. Unfortunately this occurred on a Friday night at a motel in Orlando. Since I Recently my wife and I experienced a battery problem with our 2013 CRV. Unfortunately this occurred on a Friday night at a motel in Orlando. Since I had to be back the next morning we called AAA which promptly sent a serviceman to jump our car. At this point we found out the battery would not take a charge but that the charging system in our CRV was functioning perfectly We purchased a battery from AAA and returned to our home in Marion County the following morning. On Monday my wife contacted HOO Assistant Service Manager who immediately and unquestioningly applied to Honda for reimbursement. We received payment in full today. We feel the situation was handled with utmost professionalism and courtesy. We highly recommend this dealer and their service department. More
