Good front-end Sales Reps My wife and I have bought two vehicles from this dealership in the past year. In both cases the sales reps were adequately knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I have bought two vehicles from this dealership in the past year. In both cases the sales reps were adequately knowledgeable and friendly. Of course, the sales reps cannot be expected to know every single option and statistic of every single car. It would help though if their tools were as good as "Build Your Honda" on Honda.com, which explains everything. At the very least, the website could be used as a quick reference. However, this is a failure of the sales management rather than the representatives. Additionally, it seems to be the case with every dealership of every make in Jacksonville. This dealership seems to have higher sales volume (which generally indicates lower prices) and a better trained sales force than other dealerships. They provide more accurate information and friendly service by far. One dealer we went to listed 5 accessories on the Civic Si as totaling $2,000 whereas Honda.com totaled them at around $600. I wasn't planning to go back to this dealer, except that I really wanted a Civic Si, and they were one of two dealers in town that had one in inventory. I couldn't agree on a price with the first dealer so I ended up back at this dealership. As with the first experience, the sales representative (Kent in this case) was excellent. After short negotiating, we agreed on a price. He also had a sense of humor, which made a usually tense negotiating process less so. The sales representatives deserve a perfect 5 stars whereas the dealership gets 4. But since I would rate almost every other dealer as 3 stars, perhaps 4 stars is the highest score for car sales. Better than Jiffy Lube! I've been to two other companies for oil changes on my 2014 Honda accord. Both places sold me the $90 synthetic zero oil change. I went to Honda whe I've been to two other companies for oil changes on my 2014 Honda accord. Both places sold me the $90 synthetic zero oil change. I went to Honda where I was told I don't need to overspend. Yesterday's service was right at 5:00 rush hour. I was in and out in 40 minutes - which I found to be nice and quick. The personal were nice and friendly and didn't wast the time trying to oversell me anything. More

I visited many different dealerships and I decided to buy my car at Honda of the avenues because they were the friendliest salespeople. Gabe kept the "game" at a minimum. He was very honest and helpful. He answered my questions truthfully, gave me a fair price and a few freebies, I recommend HofA in general and Gabe in particular to all my friends! More
The worst customer service experience EVER! I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for years as I have purchased multiple vehicles from them. I took my car in for repair for starter is I have been a loyal customer to this dealership for years as I have purchased multiple vehicles from them. I took my car in for repair for starter issues along with a few others. They ensured me that the starter wasn't an issue but did repair all the other issues. I paid for the repairs but being that the service center was closed I had to go into the main lobby to pay for the repair work and to pickup my vehicle. As I entered and prepared to pay I seen another vehicle on the showroom floor which really caught my eye, keep in mind I had NO intent whatsoever in purchasing another vehicle, but I liked it so well that I purchased it anyways. I bought the car which was just repaired home and it sat for a week until we had to get out and cut the grass. Tried starting the car and to no surprise it wouldn't start. I called Honda back to have them tow my car back to the shop to repair as the starter was the main reason it was brought to their shop in the first place. I had to argue with the service manager Bill Rogers, might I add is not the friendliest customer service person on staff, until he finally agreed that they would pay for the tow as they should. They called me the next morning to tell me the repair would normally be between $700-$800, but they would be glad to give me their "employee discount" which would bring the total down to a little under $500 including the taxes. Of course, I am no mechanic by far so I called around comparing prices, I called 5 other places, including 2 other Honda Dealerships, come to find out that "employee discount" is the regular price. WOW! How dare you lie to me to act as though you are doing me a favor for my inconvenience. The service manager Bill Rogers tells me well the reason we are higher is "because you are getting a brand new Honda part with a 3 years warranty". That's awfully funny when the two other Honda dealerships I called tell me the 3 year warranty part is a refurbished Honda part, if I wanted the new Honda part it was $500+ and it only gave me a 12 month warranty. So at this point I am furious how dare you continue to lie to me. I don't think they should be fixing my car for free but I do believe in doing right by the customer and I believe in giving 110% customer satisfaction. I asked to speak to his boss, Ned Sobh's calls me back and said, "give me a few minutes to discuss everything with Bill and I will call you back." Ned never calls back he continues to have Bill call me back and tries to negotiate a deal with me. NO, at this point the only satisfaction I will have, is if you (Honda) pay the tow fee, you eat the labor cost/s and I will agree to pay for the PART. They wouldn't agree. The most they (Ned) would offer would be $100 off this visit or $150 off a future visit. Excuse me, if you could offer me $150 off my next visit why could you not give me $150 off this visit? Bill proceeds to tell me, "that just because you purchased another car from us doesn't mean that you should expect us to lose money off your repair services." I didn't expect him to do anything other then the right thing!!!! I told Bill, forget it, I am going to pay to have my car towed back to my house and I will have a more reliable, customer friendly service center repair my vehicle. He said, "no problem tell them to ask for me to get the keys." Really!?!? Where has the customer service gone at this place of business? Is it that you all are that successful and that you make that much money that you forgot about it? I feel sorry for all parties having to work/deal with these kind of people. I am so over HONDA at THE AVENUES! They have lost my business for LIFE! It's apparent that they could care less :( More
New car buying experience turned bad I purchased a 2014 accord ex-l from these guys and the negotiated price had - all season mats , mudgard , wheel locks and moon roof visor. As you know I purchased a 2014 accord ex-l from these guys and the negotiated price had - all season mats , mudgard , wheel locks and moon roof visor. As you know the dealership refuses to sell without accessories. During delivery Moon roof visor was missing and the sales agent Khalid promised that he would install the Visor next day while I wait and have a cup of Coffee. I truly believed and paid for the vehicle and took it home . Next day they say they have to create a paperwork and part is not available and each passing day had a different story. Both the sales agent whose name is Khalid and his manager Evan Dunaway both are dishonest people and never fulfilled their promise. I would say avoid them at all cost . If you do not have choice , take everything in writing and be precise . Both guys are pathetic and disregard the customer. They always mention that the part store will call me up after they submit my paperwork. They never do and just lie and pass the time. Till today , after more than 6 months after many repeated emails and couple of stops at the dealer ship they never installed. I would never step again in this dealer ship which has dishonest managers and sales men . New car experience turned bad and I strictly do not recommend this dealership to anyone who do not have any sense of customer service. More
Service has declined since 2007 I am a long time customer. Bought a brand new car in 2007 and then another in 2011. Had all my service for both vehicles there. First car buying expe I am a long time customer. Bought a brand new car in 2007 and then another in 2011. Had all my service for both vehicles there. First car buying experience was fair. I had some complaints and dealership addressed and worked it out. Same with the service and because I built a relationship with service personnel I decided to buy my second car there in 2011. I had a few issues with that and since then, service area has gone way down. They do not keep me informed of when things are due for service like they use to nor do they tell me of immediate problems. I complained and yes they corrected that issue and I have returned once since then and service is still not like it use to be. Considering all the little issues when buying and now the quality of service is lacking more and more, I am taking my service for both vehicles to another dealership as well as purchase my next Honda somewhere else. Seems they have gotten to busy to take care of and provide the attention to returning customers. More

The funny part is the sales woman didn't know what she is selling (Few examples, she shows the normal carpet in the car as "All weather floor mats" and manufacture provided windows as tinted glass). Same old sales gimmick, manager denies to provide you off and there will be another salesman waiting outside to convince you with their presidents award and how they love their customers.. I would advise to avoid this dealer. More
