I first got in contact with "Bird" via email from inquiring about a Used Hyundai Elantra. I emailed him my "criteria" including my OUT THE DOOR price range, this including taxes and title. He then sent me an email with a few options, including a 2012 Hyundai Elantra that was out of my price range. However, I thought there would be some negotiating due to this vehicle all ready being marked way below KBB price so I decided to schedule a test drive. I then drove an hour to the dealership to look at this car and other options thinking there would be some lee-way in terms of price. "Bird" failed to tell me that the company is non-negotiable. When I was greeted by the used car consultant in the building he let me know "Bird" was not there but he would go test drive it with me. I informed him how much I wanted to spend and he told me, "That's impossible. I'm not sure why "Bird" would have given you that option. We do not have anything that would help you. I'm not sure why he didn't tell you we were non-negotiable before you drove all the way here from Jacksonville. I can't apologize for him though." I then left, and there sat a car on their lot not going anywhere. That could have been a sale and more free space to add another vehicle. On my way home, I gave "Bird" a phone call to express my disappointment in his judgement. He claimed, "Wait, wait, wait are you calling me to complain? I've been doing my job since 1996 and 99.9% of the time someone leaves in a car they thought they would not be interested in." I declared to him that I was sent a vehicle (the type I was firmly interested in) that was out of my price range and he then said, "I did my job. I sent you options." I was so disgusted not only by the sales consultant that greeted me and treated me (a young female) as if I was someone who did not know at all what I was doing. Little did both of them know I have a strong research background and researched top to bottom all information on Hyundai Elantras I could find. Then "Bird" handled the situation even more poorly by the way he spoke one of his potential clients. There was a major lack of customer service in the Used Car department. I was potentially a nice buying customer with money practically in hand. I'm assuming they did not really need the sale. As someone who works in sales myself, every sale counts and matters! In my community of friends and family I will never recommend this dealership to anyone due to the lack of professionalism their sales team lacked. More

This was simply the best car buying experience I have ever had thanks almost entirely to our salesman, Gordon Burke. He did everything right. He answered our questions. In the end, it was Sales Manager Wade Wahy who approved the lowest price of the five dealers we visited. That is why we purchased the car from Hyundai of St Augustine and not from Jacksonville's Key Hyundai, not from Hyundai of Orange Park, not from Jacksonville's Westside Hyundai, and not from Headquarter Hyundai of Sanford. - After visiting these five Hyundai dealers, I chose Hyundai of St Augustine and would recommend them to a friend. I researched all the available vehicles in the USA. Our last two primary vehicles have been BMW 750 LI's. We had a very positive experience with both. After considerable time spent looking at alternatives, we felt the Hyundai Equus was the best buy of all luxury vehicles in the country. The dealership, Randy Selph, brought the vehicle to our residence for consideration. We drove it and felt it was a car we should consider. The dealership was fair in their offer for our car and fair regarding the final price on the Equus we purchased. The car was delivered by Mr. Selph yesterday, Saturday, and all the paperwork was finalized quickly. He took the time to explain the details of the car at our home. We have purchased numerous vehicles over the years and this was the most pleasant transactions we have ever experienced. The concierge program is outstanding--much above anything we ever experienced with BMW. We are very pleased we shopped at Hyundai of St. Augustine and that Randy Selph was their representative. More

My wife and I had specific goal ranges that had to be met, as we are retired on a fixed income. The initial salesman listened with an open ear and worked to make it happen. I wanted to sell my old vehicle privately because I didn't believe any dealership would give us fair value. Mr DiFeo stepped in to assure that it did happen as a deal maker. We appreciated that and have avoided the pain of selling privately. I could have sold the old vehicle for 500-750 more, but I realize the dealership has costs involved as well.
