Before he presents a vehicle, he asks about my needs in a vehicle, driving habits and how long I anticipate keeping the vehicle. He then presents many options within my target budget. The true test of the dealership is I continue to purchase and recommend the dealership. In the past i have never purchased a second vehicle from the same dealer. I have been dissappointed with the vehicle, warrenty, service department or a number of other items. My satisfaction continues to improve after I drive off the lot. Follow-up telephone calls, service department team members, car wash after every service, taking care of warrenty items. The entire team is focused on the satisfaction of the customer. With that in mind, the previous day I had sold my car and we were going to the Hyundai of St. Augustine dealership as we researched and compared prices, quality, etc. of various vehicles on the internet and checked out Kelly Blue Book and Auto Trader.com. We met Ron Copeland as we pulled in and for some reason, maybe a sixth sense, I knew I could trust this man's word and that he would ring "true", something I picked up in a philosophy class in college. We were only buying a car for me but as the day grew long, he went way out of his way to deal with my wife and found a black 2013 Sonata for her. I called my son to come down and informed Ron and the finance person, who's name I cannot recall and my apologies, that he has had a run of bad luck, and if they could help him out. To make a long story short, we wound up buy 3 cars on Saturday ! When the owner of this dealership, Mr. DiFeo, comes out personally and welcomes you to the "family", that is something special. The qualities of the car we chose, we knew going in. The professionalism, the warmth and efforts that were extended to my family and myself, are beyond anything we could have ever thought we would see and feel from a car dealer and its associates. I have never been so offended by any service provider I have ever dealt with in my life. I have asked to speak with Andrew Defeo the GM and was told he did not want to talk with me or my wife about our con have ever dealt with in my life. I have asked to speak with Andrew Defeo the GM and was told he did not want to talk with me or my wife about our concerns about the sevice problems. To this date I have yet to speak with him. I conclude that customer service is NOT a priority to this dealership and customer satisfaction means little to nothing to them. This is a direct reflection on Andrew Defeo and his inability to discuss with a customer any problems within his organization and to improve quality based on those results. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone in the future because any organization which does not constantly and consistently strive to improve their processes is doomed to constantly and consistently fall short of consumer expectations. I contacted Paul Smathers about the type of vehicle I wanted and he worked emphatically to find it. When he was unable to locate the interior color I wanted, he immediately gave me an alternate vehicle wanted and he worked emphatically to find it.
