After speaking to our service manager and your service advisor, your engine failure is due to you not following your vehicle's maintenance minder. Due to your service history, or lack of, Acura would not authorize anything under your warranty. If you'd like our service team to take another look and repair your vehicle, we'd be happy to do so.

Okay, so very obviously you DID NOT read this review. Shows the great attention you pay to your clients. My engine has already been replaced with a brand new one, by Acura, under warranty, confirming it was manufacturer defect. You lost your dealership a lovely $17,000 in parts and labor pay from Acura. If you read the review careful you would already know that instead of jumping the gun on assumptions and making yourself look more like an idiot now. To be very clear, perhaps you should attend classes and training again for being an Acura employee. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with what Acura is and what they advertise before you make assumptions, because we all know what they say about people who do. --- My service history, confirmed by Acura when approving my engine was perfectly fine. The fact that I only had 4 oil changes in 47k miles is not a problem. Actually, if you knew about this brand that you sell/service you would know that "THE ACURA MAINTENANCE MINDER SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS THE MAINTENANCE INTERVALS BASED ON ENGINE OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS, YOUR DRIVING HABITS, AND THE CLIMATE THAT YOU HAVE OPERATED YOUR VEHICLE IN. FOR INSTANCE, MILD HIGHWAY DRIVING IN A WARM CLIMATE WILL MAXIMIZE THE INTERVAL BETWEEN REQUIRED MAINTENANCE. DEPENDING ON THE VEHICLE, THIS COULD BE AS HIGH AS 12,000 MILES. ON THE OTHER HAND, SHORT-TRIP DRIVING IN A COLD CLIMATE MAY LIMIT THE MAINTENANCE INTERVAL TO 3,000 MILES OR LESS. IN GENERAL, MOST PEOPLE WHO COMBINE CITY AND HIGHWAY DRIVING FIND THAT THE ACURA MAINTENANCE MINDER WILL INDICATE MAINTENANCE NEEDS ABOUT EVERY 6,000 MILES." .... Know your facts before you try to make the client the bad person. SO OBVIOUSLY because this needs to be explained, if I am strictly driving all highway commutes as I have mentioned then its pretty simple that I am capable of 10k miles per oil change interval, which at the time I was 30% oil left and would have made it another 2-3k for my 50k, 5th oil change. JUST like how you would tell me it must be impossible that in a V6 TLX, there would be no way that I drive 580 miles on a gas of tank at speeds of 70-80-mph, right? Again, the "car based computer system uses algorithms to calculate your oil life and fuel range". Give me a break with your lack of knowledge for once. You're starting to sound absolutely incompetent. And don't try to blame my lack of services as an excuse, because your lazy xxx service techs did not want to get half the pay just to drop a stupid oil pan and see the issue because by the way, thats all it took to confirm the problem and confirm it was a bad rod bearing that the engine blew- which is also becoming more common and actually has been seen at other dealership with the J35 engines.
