I did a favor for a neighbor and agreed to take a ride - duanezad
I did a favor for a neighbor and agreed to take a ride with her to check out a 2016 CRV Touring Edition. She had specific requirements regarding the car. No hazed over headlamps, power rear hatch, it must be dent and ding-free, among some other small details. She was promised by the salesman, who calls himself "DOC", that this car fit her requirements. After a two-hour drive, we got there, and "DOC" was not even immediately available. After a rather cold greeting, he went to get the car. We watched as the hood went up, the car had a dead battery. When he finally got it going, he brought it to the front of the showroom to show us. It was filthy!! It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. The headlights were hazed over, the power rear hatch didn't work, and it had multiple cosmetic defects. He took the car, washed it, and brought it back, and said "Look at the headlights now, they're not hazed". I confronted him about it. He just stared at me with a blank look and had nothing to say. We decided this was not the car or the dealership we wanted to do business with. As we were walking away, he dared to ask if we would be interested in buying a new Acura instead, but we just ignored him. Stay away from this dealer!!
