Dustin (young one) handled my airbag recall with no problem. When I explained that I also had a select shift problem with my trans he mentioned that his trans specialist was 60 days back logged on his problem. When I explained that I also had a select shift problem with my trans he mentioned that his trans specialist was 60 days back logged on his work orders but he would have a mechanic look at it. After two hours I went to the service counter and he told me he was going to come looking for me, that the recall had quickly been completed and that no trouble was found with the select shift. I thanked him and knew that the problem was still there. I left the lot and wasn't to the highway when it stopped select shifting and I had to shift to automatic. The problem has still continued to be intermittent. For this reason I'm not sure how to rate the service dept. and really don't know what to do. What I do know is that it took three trips to the service dept to fix the tire pressure sensor in the front tire so I can only imagine how many times it's going to take to deal with the TCM. I haven't been back because frankly I hate the 50 mile r/t drive from Azle but I guess I need to bite the bullet and do it before the warranty is up. I've had the Canyon for over 1 1/2 years and have 5,000 miles on it. I hate to be cynical but I'll bet it takes weeks to solve this shift problem even with computer assisted trouble shooting.
