Service department experience was the worse ever, due to our service advisor . He was very pushy, he lied , and absolutely wouldnt listen to me, only was intrested in selling me tires, brakes or getting a n our service advisor . I've been maintaining mechanical devices 60+ years and if your going to do it, do it right. The oil % life gauge sent me into Jim Butler for a "scheduled oil change". So why would the mechanics release my car as "complete" and not reset the % gauge not to 100%. (This is actually the second time they have done this. so I look for it). To me that is not a complete job. I have been correcting sloppy mechanics for a long time, and no one really seemed to care. But if they forget something as simple as that, then why should I trust them for the bigger things. So the car is done and I am apprehensive about Jim Butler's service as especially is my husband since he maintains the car and experiences these little lapses and has been QC in many life and death situations. l His expectations of purchasing a replacement vehicle for his 93 truck from Jim Butler have been lowered after this experience so we will have to talk. One omission, a second omission but same one X2 is cause for us to be aware. The mess cook is a important as the fighter pilot. someone needs to be watching. He was also there over 3 hours on tasks that would have taken him 2 hours in our driveway and need causing me to have to cancel an appointment and timing were questionable. glb for bjb More

Did not receive an accurate estimate for my service. Service rep kept calling And saying something else was wrong. I had truck towed in because it wasn’t running. Diagnostic review indicated I had water in fuel and front breaks and rotors need replaced. Seems like what I pay for initial diagnosis should concentrate on why i have my vehicle there and not what other services you can milk me for. Maybe then I gets more accurate estimate of me cost expectations. Ended up costing about $3000. Had I know I could be that expensive I would have made another choice. Will propably never return to Jim Butler! Very unhappy customer! More
