Thank you for sharing your experience and your concerns with us, Leonard. We spoke with your finance manager and it seems there was some miscommunication. With the original payment quote that we provided, it did have more warranties included that are recommended. To get to a lower payment, we were able to take off some of the warranties in an effort to help you. As was discussed with the amount of miles that was expected to be driven with the vehicle, it is in your best interest to have the GAP insurance, in case the vehicle would be totaled somehow. If you do not want the GAP insurance, please let us know so we can take care of that for you. Your finance person was under the impression that you did want the GAP insurance. We're sorry that the back and forth trying to get you the best payment possible made you feel as though we were being dishonest, but we were truly just trying to help you. While it is true that we were unable to get your vehicle to have the same problems for us that you experienced, we were able to reprogram the transmission control module, which corrected the problem. We did attempt to get this repair covered under warranty for you, but GM is very strict about what is and is not covered through their warranties. We can assure you that we performed the repairs and attempted to address your concerns as quickly as possible, and we apologize for the delays. The recall that you had done on your vehicle was to reset and update the computer system that turns on the CEL. Normally, this recall resolves the CEL being on and there are not additional problems.
