Financing at first went well, they worked with me on getting the monthly payment I needed and keeping me in the vehicle I wanted. After that there was a very long process to get my title. After multiple calls to managers asking about the location of my title I was told I would be contacted back with and answer and never once did I get a return phone call. Very unprofessional. After I received my title (a day before temp tags were up) I reviewed the title and it had the incorrect address on it... along with every piece of paper work that came with the sale of my new vehicle. It was fixed promptly after I had returned in person to handle the situation. Overall was not impressed with the management on how they handle customer service. I felt like a number not a customer. Jim Butler Service I went to Jim Butler on a Saturday for an Oil change. While I was waiting to pull my car in the bay my check engine light came on. I was unable to hav I went to Jim Butler on a Saturday for an Oil change. While I was waiting to pull my car in the bay my check engine light came on. I was unable to have this issue looked at due to Jim Butler not having anyone experienced beyond an oil change employed on the weekend. Additionally I was advised that if I wanted to leave my vehicle with them until Monday, they couldn’t guarantee My rental car would be covered or the $100 diagnostic until they figured out the problem. These were both things I was not prepared for financially so I was advised to call and make an appointment M-F. I called Monday morning to schedule an appointment and was told to bring it on in Tuesday at 10am. Great. I borrowed A vehicle and dropped my car off Monday evening. On Tuesday I called at 1 pm after not hearing anything from the dealership. I was advised that there were over 100 cars on the lot that needed to be serviced that day and he couldn’t guarantee that my car would even be looked at on Tuesday. Not really that big of a deal. I was really just needing piece of mind if the services would be covered under warranty and if I qualified for a rental becuase the vehicle I borrowed needed to be returned. I did not hear anything the rest of the day so I stopped by around 4:30 on my way home from work. I was informed that my car needed approximately $1600 worth of repairs, part of it was covered under warranty and I would receive a rental under the warranty. I began reviewing the charges and they did not sit right with me. I was still being charged a $100 diagnostic fee because only half of the repairs were covered under the power train warranty. The service ticket also stated I needed a new battery and oil change. It was explained to me that battery life can fluctuate based on weather. Sounds reasonable. I was questioning the fact I just had it in there on Saturday for an oil change and their 150 (guessing) point inspection but there was absolutely no indication whatsoever that my battery was failing two days prior? Then there is the oil change, again, I was just in there for an oil change two days prior. Could the tech on Saturday, knowing my check engine light was on, just advise me to return later in the week to check out the light and do the oil change at the same time? In my opinion, that would have been the decent thing to do. I asked him to remove the charge and he advised he would make sure the oil was topped off and the filter was tight, like he was doing me a favor. The service writer began to tell me (again) I was lucky that my car was even reviewed for service becuase there were over 100 cars on their lot for the day. That’s a service, Jim Butler, scheduling problem. Not mine. I called for an appointment and that was what they offered. Simple as that. So to be told the same thing multiple times is disappointing to say the least. After paying for the services not covered and removing the charges I deemed not necessary, I went from a $1600 estimate to $215!! I do not expect to be taken advantage of or talked down to when I’m paying for services at the dealership I purchased my vehicle from. More
Took friends car there for oil change and service person Bill W was great! He knew more about the car than anyone yet. Good employee to have. However an older guy who greeted me when I pulled in gave me the impression he wanted me to leave, because I was told to come on in, instead of getting an exact appointment time 15 minutes prior. Guess he didn't know I just got off the phone with the front desk and it was a bit hot in there for the workers that day....... More
Oil change and tire rotation They do a great job on oil changes and tire rotations. They really inspect your vehicle for any other issues. Count on a 90 minute wait. Go in to ch Went in for a regular oil change and tire rotation in January. 1500 miles later I start getting a check engine light for my VVT solenoids. Go in to check my solenoids and find an absolutely filthy and broken down filter and filthy oil. There’s absolutely no way my oil or filter was changed, and dirty oil can be a main cause of these solenoids breaking down. So not only did I have to change my own oil, I had to replace two solenoids as well. I let Jim Butler know and they said they would talk to the service manager and would call me back as early as possible and I haven’t heard from them in months. Absolutely terrible service, I would check your any of the service done when you get home. More
Don’t believe their “quotes” before or after arrival. Window wouldn’t work so I took off the door panel and found the window regulator clip was broken. No one sells just the regulator clip ($10 max) and I Window wouldn’t work so I took off the door panel and found the window regulator clip was broken. No one sells just the regulator clip ($10 max) and I was told you had to buy the whole regulator for $100.00. I got a quote from their service website and scheduled my service appointment. Wow - that was easy, right? WRONG! I called parts to make sure the cost was right. Got to the dealership for service and was told the quote didn’t look right. With the door panel already off, they were going to charge the full labor cost to take it off. THEN they told me the part was $183.00 (not the $100 I got when I called the previous day). “We’ll work with you on the cost a little bit” I was told. Car’s finished. Total cost was still $100 more than I was told it would be when I got there ($130 more than their prior to arrival quote) AND they didn’t put the door panel back on so they could “save you the labor cost”. Never again... More
