I have purchased two vehicle from Jim Butler Kia since April of 2021 ..My new Kia K 5 Gt up line is the vehicle kia is refusing to fix.. I kept up with the maintenance and get the oil change and tire rota April of 2021 ..My new Kia K 5 Gt up line is the vehicle kia is refusing to fix.. I kept up with the maintenance and get the oil change and tire rotation when due. I have always drove out of my way to go back to that dealership to get my service taken care ,that I pay out of my pocket ..On one visit they broke a seal around the oil filter and somehow the metal shield under the car got broke and no one knows how ..Left without knowing drove down the road and heard a loud noise .So I pulled over and their was oil on my engine and realized that the shield was dragging down the road. Had to take my car back and fight to get a loaner .I have been trying to get the paint fixed on my car for over 5 months now ..Left a review back in November ..Service manager called we talked and both agreed to have it taken care after the holidays ..It is now February and I have not heard a word ..Called them on February 7th it was a Monday . Talked to a gentleman and he acted like he had no clue what was going on .Then said oh you are talking about the Shield .I said well yes that too .They were supposed have put the shield on when I took my car down for my last oil change. They did not ..It is now Thursday February 10th and still have not received a call back about getting the paint problem on my new car fixed.. I know they are just trying to keep putting it off so they warranty expires .This is completely ridiculous to have to go through this much xxxxxxxx . I actually took my car to a Kia dealership near my work for my last oil change and tire rotation and it was amazing ..Jim Butler Kia service department makes me feel like I am a big inconvenience and very unwelcomed and you should never treat customer that way ..Especially paying customer ..I am going to let my lawyer handle it from here and contact the Better Business Bureau ..I am tired of waiting and getting pushed around .. I am on the fence about Jim Butler Kia in Chesterfield because most of my experience was positive but some little things did bother me. My salesperson Kenny was so nice, polite, and quick to reply to tex because most of my experience was positive but some little things did bother me. The finance guy Scott was amazing and so detailed and really helped me get a good warranty since all used cars over 100K miles comes "as is" and I have never bought a car as is so Scott helped me with that process. From the time we found the car online for my daughter and the time we purchased it and drove home was prob about 2 hours and an hour of it was the drive so very quick to close at this dealership. Now the little things that bothered me - I have bought about 20 cars over the 30 years I have been driving for my husband, myself, and our kids and I have always left the lot with a full tank of gas. When we arrived to pick up the used car, Kenny informed me he put a 1/2 tank of gas in it for me. Is that my "thank you" for purchasing a car from Jim Butler? 1/2 tank of gas? They don't negotiate on prices anymore because of the market so the least a dealership can do is fill your tank and thank you for your business but I asked why a 1/2 tank of gas and they acted like that was a lot to do for me. I was also NOT told it was "as is" until I went to sign the papers with Finance. The listing on the internet clearly mentioned warranty but that was just an ad about warranty Jim Butler offers. I asked what would happen if I drove off lot and it blew up and I was told by Kenny to make sure I purchase a warranty. Not even a 7 day promise to bring it back if anything was wrong with it! I was shocked a dealership as big as Jim Butler handled used cars like that - but first time I bought from them so you live and you learn. Overall I enjoyed my experience but I would def let Jim Butler know to fill the tank and look into short promised on used vehicles. More
