I told them I have an appointment for an oil change. It's 635am, he said it's going to be 10-11am to be done? What in xxxx of business does it take 3.5 -4 hours to complete for simple change? Should be minimum of 30 mins to hour. Work on your customer skills and don't over book. Take your appointment first then walk ins. Shameful, I've coming here for over 5-6 years. Edit- service rep comes back @704, states per management will try to service my car for an oil change by 8-830am- Completion @743 am! Please check the order and client profile for pre- service plans. I'd almost got charge $120 for an oil change that I have already paid for. Note- don't forget to replace the next service stickers for oil change. Shameful! More
Jose Serrano took my deposit for a vehicle. I waited almost two months for it. The day after it arrived on the lot, they sold it to someone else! The vehicle arrived 11/17/23. They never told m I waited almost two months for it. The day after it arrived on the lot, they sold it to someone else! The vehicle arrived 11/17/23. They never told me til a few days prior, but they give you only 36 hours to purchase the vehicle once it's there. I asked for an additional day because I have a job and am scheduled to work and I'm also 7 months pregnant! They told me yes I can have the additional day. But they turned around and sold it the following day without saying a single word. When we called to confirm that everything was good for our meeting the next day, that's when Jose Serrano, the fleet manager, nonchalantly mention that it was already sold. They don't care about you or that you have a deposit or if you've been waiting. They only care about getting their commission. You're just another sale competing with others out there. He didn't apologize. He wasn't empathetic. Jose Serrano just said "there's nothing I can do. It was sold to someone else." I asked, "so this happens a lot where someone puts a deposit but you still sell it anyway?" And his response was "yeah it does." Thanks a lot Crown Toyota for proving how much you don't care about your customers. I had a great experience with Toyota of Huntington Beach with a previous purchase in the past. Crown Toyota just goes to show how horrible sleazy salesmen still exist out there! They are a true representation of the typical jerk car salesmen who lack any kind of respect for the customer. More

I have been going to John Elway's Crown Toyota for years to service my trusty 2014 Prius. While a bit expensive, it has always been worth it. Now, however, I am shocked at just how much Crown Toyota has cha to service my trusty 2014 Prius. While a bit expensive, it has always been worth it. Now, however, I am shocked at just how much Crown Toyota has changed under new ownership. MAKING THE APPOINTMENT I recently took my car in for routine maintenance and to diagnose an issue with the horn. The new phone system made it next to impossible to actually make an appointment with changing wait times ("You are caller #7... You are caller #5... You are caller #2... You are caller #21... You are caller #19...") I finally opted to receive a call back and was contacted the next day. The stressed out operator explained to me that there is only one operator to handle all service calls now. I schedule my service for the following week. THE VISIT Since my call was eventually handled by an operator, I arrived for my appointment then had to explain to my service rep that I needed the routine maintenance and a diagnostic ran to see why my horn had stopped working. The Rep said that since they needed time for a diagnostic, I would have to leave the vehicle overnight. Not a big deal. But then I had to arrange for my own ride home. Still, not that big of a deal, it's just that some dealerships offer rides home. THE RESULT The next day I receive a call from my rep. He explains that a mechanic ran a diagnostic on my car horn and that a spiral cable needed to be replaced at the price of approximately $700. This diagnosis came with the caveat that they could not guarantee this was the problem. To add insult to injury, the diagnostic cost me $200, none of which would be applied to the repairs if I had chosen to do so. In short, I paid $200 for a non diagnosis of a technical issue. With regards to the maintenance I requested, I am even further concerned. It was recommended that I replace my hybrid coolant, which had just been done on a previous visit to Crown. My personal notes and past service sheets indicated that I would need brake fluid replaced and that I may be due for new brake pads. Today, my service rep told me all pads were fine and we didn't need to worry about the fluid. Although, the cabin air filter and engine air filter needed to be replaced along with my wiper blades, all of which I had very recently replaced. Then they literally wanted to charge me another $200 to run a diagnostic test to trace a weird noise they claimed to have heard when going over bumps in my car. I had already paid $200 for a non answer, I wasn't about to fall for that again. What's more, I had just replaced both the cabin and engine filters after my last service appointment at Crown. The service rep this time again suggested they be replaced. After explaining to him that they had just been replaced the rep admitted that, unless the filters look brand new, they always just suggest they be replaced. So, admittedly, it is a policy at Crown to nickel and dime hapless vehicle owners who don't know better. FINAL THOUGHTS With this recent visit, I think that I am done going to Crown Toyota. Making the service appointment was a nightmare. Then they called the next day to let me know that they had murky answers, but demanded a very clear amount of money from me. On top of that they attempted to sell me on service items that I had already addressed myself AND had documentation for. This is a sad turn for what used to be my go-to place to handle my vehicle.
