I am writing regarding my service visit on March 10, 2026, for my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. I brought the vehicle in to address a failure in the HVAC "Sync" functionality. After five hours, I was 2026, for my 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. I brought the vehicle in to address a failure in the HVAC "Sync" functionality. After five hours, I was informed that a diagnosis could not be reached without disassembling the dashboard to check for a refrigerant leak—a procedure I was told would cost me $400 if no leak was found. As this vehicle is under the Nissan New Vehicle Limited Warranty (Bumper-to-Bumper), I am formally declining the $400 exploratory labor charge for the following reasons: Warranty Coverage: The failure of a primary system (HVAC Sync logic/actuators) on a brand-new vehicle is a clear matter of factory workmanship or material defect. Under Nissan’s warranty, diagnostic fees for warrantable defects are covered. Inconsistent Diagnosis: A failure of the "Sync" button logic is typically an electronic module or actuator issue, not a refrigerant leak. Furthermore, NTB25-019 identifies a known leak issue for 2024 Pathfinders at the pipe junctions in the engine bay, which can be verified with UV dye or an electronic "sniffer" without removing the dashboard. Nissan Tech Line: Since your team was unable to provide a clear diagnosis after five hours, I request that you open a case with Nissan Tech Line to receive corporate guidance before any invasive teardown of my vehicle is performed. I look forward to your prompt response regarding how Kelly Nissan intends to resolve this under warranty without shifting the financial risk of diagnosis onto the customer. Sincerely, More

Laird is amazing. I moved out of Chicago and am way closer to M'lady Nissan in Crystal Lake and Laird is the reason I continue to come back to Kelly Nissan.
