I have taken my Forester back to the shop three times now to fix a radio issue. The techs were unable to locate the problem, so decided to replace the radio. But on the way home with the new radio the same to fix a radio issue. The techs were unable to locate the problem, so decided to replace the radio. But on the way home with the new radio the same problem popped up. An image of an RCA jack shows on the screen saying no media present. On a hunch I wondered if the RCA jack plug below the radio might be the problem. So I took an old RCA jack cord I no longer needed, cut off the jack, and inserted it in the plug. The radio has been working fine ever since. When I get some time I will schedule an appointment to get the plug/USB assembly replaced. More
