It was an awesome experience. From Sales rep through finance manager, best experience we've had in 35 years of car deals. From Sales rep through finance manager, best experience we've had in 35 years of car deals. More
My husband and I purchased our 2021 Toyota Tacoma in Colorado, moving to Klamath Falls 3 years ago. Our GPS had never functioned, having a pop up window of “error” from the moment we drove off the lot. In the Denver metro area, the dealer service centers did not know how to fix the issue, but they were somewhat dismissive since we were well within our warranty. In Oregon, we immediately stopped into Lithia Toyota to ask about the GPS (Spring, 2022), and we were told that Toyota was “working on a software patch,” so we should be patient. Well, we connected to a private mechanic and lived our lives without GPS in the car (we have phones). As chance would have it, a mechanism in the driver’s side window broke. We were “forced” to present ourselves to the Lithia Toyota service center once more. We mentioned the GPS in addition to the window, to which we initially received the song and dance of: “oh, you should have purchased the extended warranty. What a shame, that would have been covered!” We shared that it has NEVER worked. We forged ahead, not enjoying the sensation of a big dealership service center who seemed impersonal. They shared that we would hear by phone or text by about noon, which didn’t happen. We left voicemail and a text ourselves in the later afternoon, with no response. We stopped in eventually, received our estimate, and left the car overnight for the work to be done. We picked up the car the next day, and to our utter shock, they had done a factory re-boot on our GPS and we have GPS…. for the first time ever! We were literally undone. This was such a tremendous service recovery from our point of view, and in the end we had a sensation that this particular service center just may know what they are doing. It’s expensive, impersonal, tricky to ahold of them, but they know how to do things! One more odd nugget was that they never got our names correct. My husband is noted as “John” in the system. I’m not sure why. We gave our names. We made a joke out of it privately! More

I was told my service would be 3-4 hrs, it was 7 hrs that I waited in their lobby, as I am from out of town, but purchased my car there. They did not offer a shuttle to go somewhere, to make the time go by easier. No one came out to tell me my car was done, nor called me on my cell number that I provided to them. They did however come out to tell me I had rodents that occupied my cabin filter, said it would need to be replaced and asked if I wanted to purchase a $150 treatment for rodents that would be sprayed inside my engine compartment. I found that quite embarrassing, as everyone in the lobby could hear our conversation about mice and rats. I felt like I was being put on the spot about it. So, as I sat there for those 7 hours, I witnessed others embarrassment of their rodent issues as well. I could tell thst they were about as uncomfortable speaking about it, as I was. Suggestion: If you need to talk to someone about rodents, or additional repairs that were found... turn that kid game room into a customer/tech room for conversation in private. Also, if you know someone is from out of town offer them a shuttle to somewhere and give them a card with a phone number to call the shuttle for a ride back to the dealership's service center. My Honda Dealership in Reno does this, and I paid half the cost of the car in bought from Lithia Toyota in Klamath... and I paid cash for both and bought the extended warranties as well. So my review is... they need to work on their customer service, after the sale... because it doesn't even meet what other dealerships are doing for their customers. I was even given the wrong car key after I paid my bill. Sorry, but I need to be honest. More
