Six months ago, I bought a used Tiguan here for $14,000. I got my oil changes and inspections done here and everything always checked out. When I first bought the car, they said they replaced the engine with brand new factory parts. I also have zero accidents on my driving record. I never drove past 70-75 mph on the freeways. I drove carefully because I knew I'll depend on this car for a couple more years until I graduate. One day, the car shut off while I was driving on the freeway. It stopped suddenly and thank God I didn't die that night. My family and I poured what we had on that car. We're not rich people. That's why we bought used for $14,000. And for the staff to have zero empathy and merely emphasize that I didn't have a warranty, which costed a couple thousand dollars, is just heartless. I drove extremely carefully, but the car still broke. I don't even know what I could've done better. Really. I've lost so much sleep over the past few weeks, and what happened between us is just so rotten. The service department took a look at the car and proceeded to charge $3,800 for repairs. I couldn't afford that so I followed their suggestion on a lesser service for $1,000. It didn't help at all. They then inspected the car again and offered to fix the car for $5,000+. This, to me, was a slap in the face. I paid $14,000 and took care of that car with my life. It breaks down unexpectedly and they charge an additional $5,000+. I hate causing problems, but what happened to me was wrong. Absolutely wrong. This was one of the worst, most painful, gut-wrenching and heart-breaking experiences I've ever had. I just lost $14,000, cash. Think about that money for a second... Y'all sold "as-is" and I get that, but that doesn't change the fact that this was so deeply immoral. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. More
My wife shopped there as she was in Denton visiting. She stated with absolute clarity that she did NOT want them to run her credit unless she decided to buy. They would not negotiate much with her and we ended up buying a VW in Houston; considerably better deal. Now I'm fighting to get the added credit check off my report...they are a bunch of xxxxx there! More

The shadow mark there's no law forcing me to buy this and in print, it states I'm not obligated to purchase it. I also have a dedicated section to sign and deny the warranty.
