I decided to buy my lease after a 2.5 year lease, I really love my car. I made an appointment with finance to come in and purchase but had to cancel it due to having Covid. I rescheduled for the next week, I was in and out very quickly. I reviewed the docs and noticed a service agreement in my purchase price. I told the finance manager four different times during my paperwork signing that I did not want service. I service my car very close by to my home and this makes it easy because I don’t have to sit with my car. I was very obviously pregnant as well. The finance person said that my first oil change will be free and that I could go somewhere else for a $40 credit. My point was well made however, not received nor acknowledged. Very obvious the person who sold me the car had a different idea, intent and marching order. A service contract was snuck into my paperwork and I received an extended service packet in the mail. I called Lexus to try and figure out why this was happening. A finance manager called me back and told me this was a “retention tool.” That the dealer fees were X’ed out and the service contract put in its place, as a way to keep me coming back to the dealership. This is ALL LIES told to me by Darryl in Finance. Ronald was also trying to get me to realize he has been working in car dealerships, and I was getting some kind of deal. I should never be charged for a dealer fee at the END OF MY LEASE. It was a way to make money. Now Lexus refuses to call me back or answer my calls. Luckily, my partner is an attorney and has since reviewed the paperwork. This was NEVER explained to me. This was NEVER discussed with me. I was deceived. Period. It is not shocking that the men in finance took advantage of an obviously pregnant woman. I am now on hold with corporate trying to get the service agreement cancelled, this will take hours of my time by the end of this. The service agreement was $1298 total. It lasts until 65,000 miles. I am at 45,000 miles now. That means, if I went today I would be paying $649 per oil change. SCAM! STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE! More
My experience at the service center this past time was terrible. The Service Advisor was very rude and raised his voice at me when I tried to explain to him about a service bullentin that I believed appl terrible. The Service Advisor was very rude and raised his voice at me when I tried to explain to him about a service bullentin that I believed applied to my vehicle even though it wasn't showing up on "his list". Perhaps I was absolutely wrong but the treatment and the level of disrespect was absolutely unnecessary. When you are in a customer service position, especially for a luxury car dealer, you have a responsibility to treat you dealer's clients with the utmost respect. It would have taken a few minutes of his time to listen to me as the customer and perhaps try to find a solution to the problem or help m e understand why it just wasn't applicable. That's what makes the difference in customer service. As a matter of a fact, I was at the dealer for 2 reasons - to evaluate the check light on my 2021 vehicle and working on a deal to lease a new vehicle. It would have been my second one. After being yelled at by an angry service advisor, I took my vehicle and my new lease deal somewhere else. I have an appointment at another dealer this weekend. I will not be coming back to Lexus of Pembroke Pines. More
