I came in for a recall service but decided to add an oil change. Checking in was casual as planned, including receiving a loaner. I was advised that it would take up to 6 hours to repair. The sales agent called me in the afternoon to advise potential services to repair. I gave a call back, unanswered, and left a voicemail to discuss the options. My mindset was my car was already there and performing additional services would be doable. I didn't receive a call back for 2 hours. I decided to drive back to the dealership to pick up my car and forego any additional services. I live 25 minutes away from this dealership so getting service here is not convenient at all. There are no other Lexus dealerships nearby. When I arrived, I saw the same service agent sitting at his desk with his cell phone. He made eye contact with me and acted like nothing happened. I go straight to the back to pay for my car. There was the parts department where someone was on the phone. No other person was at the counter and I was the only one in line. Standing about 3 feet away from the counter. 15 minutes go by and no one was there. It wasn't until 2-3 other customers came behind me that the service rep got out of her desk in the back and noticed that I was there in the front. She apologized and said she didn't see me. By the time I got home, the service agent called me back and apologized for not checking his voice mail. This is also the 2nd time, in a row, where I had a bad service experience. I failed to report the bad review prior to Covid-19 (where the service agent went to lunch, came back late and I was left sitting in my car for over 20 mins without help). This dealership is consistently bad. The service is so bad, this time, that I am looking to get rid of my Lexus as soon as possible so I don't have to deal with this dealership. I love my car. I LOVE my prior dealership (Lexus of Marin), where I purchased 2 cars from even though I live in Sacramento County. But I don't love it that much to keep getting services from the Sacramento Lexus, the closest authorized Lexus dealership near me. More
