My wife and I had a horrible, time wasting experience at this dealership. My wife was in the market for the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. This particular model is hard to find and we understood that. The this dealership. My wife was in the market for the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. This particular model is hard to find and we understood that. They did have one on their lot but, the color was not what she wanted. The salesman (Mike Oade) told us they had two red Trailhawks coming in very shortly. We had a trade and had a number we wanted. We decided to move forward on one of the red Trailhawks coming in and started to work a deal. However, the sales team low balled us on the trade. We were not happy and decided to walk. Mike sent me a text message telling us to go to Carmax in Reno and get a written offer for our trade. He told me in a text message their sales manager will honor any written offer from another dealer. The next morning we took the trade to Carmax and received an offer that was substantially higher. We took that written offer to Lythia and they would not honor what Mike Oade had told me in a text message I happened to save. We went down to the dealership, again and got a manager involved. That is when we met Tony. Tony was nice and did everything he could to make a deal and make everything right. We eventually came to terms and were somewhat happy. The Trailhawk was still not there at the dealer which they confirmed was in Benicia California. He told me they were going to hot tag it to have it expedited to Reno and have it here by Friday. Well, Friday came and no Trailhawk. The moral of the story is this, typical dealership who's sales people work off of commission and will lie to make a sale, a management team who does not have a handle on their sales people and will not honor what their sales people promise their customers. I recommend trying a non commission dealership in the area if you are interested in a Chrysler/Jeep vehicle. More
