OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

I have dealt with your service department more than the salesman. Lance is my guy, he's alway wonderful and helpful. I appreciate him more with every interaction, just the best. Tabatha was the most recent service rep I've worked with. She I absolutely amazing, I had a serious car issues and was losing my mind, she calmed me done and assured that everything was going to be just fine. In the end it was, she is amazing and made feel taken care of. I don't think she even understood what a blessing she was in that moment, I was 6 hours away from home with a car that went xxxx in the middle of the trip down (I hadn't even made it to my final destination) I was panicking severely, she was calm, soothing and I believed she was gonna all she could to help me. Thank you so much Lance and Tabatha, you make Lythia a good place to go. More
