OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States. We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions. We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. I'm sorry you feel as though your last visit didn't go that well, certainly not how we want a loyal customer to feel. Reading your review it’s obvious we owe you an apology for the lack of communication. I’m not sure where the disconnect happened. I don’t know if you dropped it off and had someone else pick it up, or if your advisor just took it upon himself to ignore store policy? Looking at the notes in our system it appears at your most recent visit we serviced a Hyundai Tucson. On that visit we performed an oil-change, a multi-point inspection and we completed the “966 factory recall”. I'm not sure if this is the vehicle in question, or if there is another vehicle in the household that was serviced that day, but that’s what the system is showing. The notes indicate that in the multi-point inspection eight separate recommendations were made and all eight were declined. I don't know if you dropped the vehicle off and had someone else retrieve it? Or if Ryan wrote it up and another advisor closed it out? Either way it’s against store policy to arbitrarily decline service on the customers behalf, it’s bad business. That said we would be happy to review the inspection form with you again at your leisure. Simply call Ryan Newton at 775-682-3311, or reply to this review response with a time that works for you and we’ll be happy to make it happen. Again, please accept our apology for your less-than-stellar experience and thank you for bringing it to our attention.
