OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

Finance dept tried loan approval request too many times. Greatful it was approved, but knocked my credit score hard. Wasn't offered if we didn't like the final cost that we could just say "thank you but no" Greatful it was approved, but knocked my credit score hard. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH LITHIA HYDUNDAI THEY HAD OTHER THINGS THE DEALER DID TO THE CAR WHICH AT FIRST I THOUGHT WAS NICE UNTIL I REALIZED AT THE END I WAS PAYING FOR IT WHICH WAS LIKE $1000 THEY HAD OTHER THINGS THE DEALER DID TO THE CAR WHICH AT FIRST I THOUGHT WAS NICE UNTIL I REALIZED AT THE END I WAS PAYING FOR IT WHICH WAS LIKE $1000 MORE. THE ADVERTISED PRICE DID NOT INCLUDE THAT.. I WAS PRESSURED TO BUY A WARRANTY AND WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE SALES MANAGER. I DID LIKE THE SALESMAN JONATHAN. IF IT WASNT FOR HIM, I WOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY. I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THIS DEALER. LOOKING AT THE STAFF YOU HAVE POSTED NOW, I DO NOT SEE JONATHANS NAME ANYMORE AND THE SALES MANAGER( OR THE ONE THAT THE SALESMAN CALLS OVER TO TRY TO MAKE THE DEAL IS NO LONGER WITH YOU AS WELL, ALTHOUGH IT IS HARD TO IDENTIFY THE PHOTOS WITH THE MASK .
