OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

They made sure we got what we needed and at a price we could handle and in a new rather than a used car. We were raised with our father's both working for Ford Motor company. We have only owned Ford products and we've never considered owning anything else. When we decided to look at your cars, mainly because of the financing, we were truly impressed! Trustworthy I moved to Reno from Southern California and needed service for my Azera. When it came time for me to trade, Cody Panzer and Steve Leveille worked extra hard to get me out of bad lease and into an upgrade. I was impressed. Yeah, I have more debt, but I am buying the car, not leasing and I have a new Genesis. These guys are all pretty good at what they do and don't make you feel like you just gave away the farm! More

Fun and Trusting Pete and Carlos in the service department made this ordeal of purchasing a car more than bearable. They both went out of their way to make sure I got Pete and Carlos in the service department made this ordeal of purchasing a car more than bearable. They both went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted and being that I spent what seemed like two full days there - it was exhausting but certainly fun.
