One of the best service centers I’ve seen at a car dealership. Everyone was super helpful, pricing was reasonable and appreciate the quality of the waiting area with all the free coffee, snacks, and c dealership. I've been with the Lokey family for over 4 years and the sales/finance portion of the process is never the reason I come back. I originally worked with Lokey VW, where the aforementioned process was also a nightmare, however Chris Cosgrove in the service department always made working on my car an easy and familiar task. Other service reps that would work on my vehicle even provided recommendations to avoid having to come back and spend money on certain issues, something that is most certainly appreciated in this economy. This is not a review for Lokey VW, though, that would easily be a 4 star or 8/10 rating. I bought a new vehicle at Lokey Nissan and my experience started off rough. I wanted this vehicle and it's partly my fault for making that obvious, however the sales team took that and ran with it. The monthly payment was far higher than what I requested and there was even a $10,000 dealership fee that they would not budge on (keep in mind, this is a 40-45k vehicle). That should've been my cue to leave and there's definitely remorse on that front, most from my bank account. They did not have the specific vehicle I wanted either (trim level, packages, etc.) and stated they would have to "ship" one and there would be a significant delivery fee. I later discovered I paid over $2,000 for someone to drive my vehicle from Nissan of Bradenton to Lokey Nissan. An Uber Comfort costs $75 to make that trip, so I paid nearly 30x that for someone to put miles on my new vehicle and put a bit of gas in it. Part of the finance process wasn't very transparent, we were never even told who our financial institution was until we asked during the "sign your life away" phase. Note that the dealership fee I previously mentioned will not be in the itemized sheet they provide, it will be baked into the "base" price. All things considered, the finance process was at least very quick and everything was taken care of within a day. At the time (due to rose-tinted glasses), I would have given this a 7/10, but after letting the hype die down, I can settle with a 4/10 now that I realize how much money was unnecessarily wasted. Should the service department at Lokey Nissan wow me, I will reconsider the rating on this review. So far, it took multiple contacts with the web assistant reps and a call directly to Lokey Nissan to confirm I wouldn't have to pay for the first oil change (website states ~$80, but I was told to "ignore" this). The primary reasons I remained loyal to the Lokey family are the free oil changes for life and the service department - hoping I can report back soon with a better outlook. More

My battery which was under warranty kept dying. I knew it needed replacing. My husband took my car to the service department. He was told it was holding a charge and they would not replace it. Two I knew it needed replacing. My husband took my car to the service department. He was told it was holding a charge and they would not replace it. Two days later my battery died and left me stranded. I called AAA, when they showed up they ran a diagnostic test. It clearly showed the battery needed replacement. I feel I was basically scammed by the service department. If they would have taken care of the battery the first time, it would have been the right thing to do. But it took a lot of wasted time and aggravation before it was taken care of. More
