I don’t have to provide you more proof of insurance when purchasing a car from a dealer in the state of Florida beyond an active and in force policy. Worse, you wait until the very end of the process to tell me. Even worse is the “well, you can just pay $250 for 5 day stop gap coverage”. We bought a car on a Saturday. My carrier won’t allow policy changes online and must be handled by my agent — who isn’t open on Saturday. I’m not the first person this has affected. Stop this. We’ll never go back as a result. More
