Don’t go here, but if you do, decline all extra service they recommend. I went in for a routine oil change at 15k miles (the telluride is 1.5 years old). During the service, one of the reps came up and told me I needed $300 of extra ‘normal maintenance’ done. I said I had never heard of needing that much maintenance on a fairly new car, but begrudgingly agreed to it. After that, I immediately looked up Kia’s own maintenance schedule which only called for one $40 filter that I hadn’t already requested to be installed. I went back to the rep to discuss why they were recommending ‘routine’ maintenance that Kia doesn’t require or recommend. He couldn’t answer that or where any of the service items he listed could be found in the manual (he said “i don’t know where any of that is listed as recommended and I can’t find it”). They simply lied about everything that needs to be done and blamed it on the engine being ‘so efficient’. In the end, I told him to add the filter that Kia recommended. And, of course, when I checked out - he had added two filters for $100. So, overall, they lie to you (which I should expect), then don’t even try to back up the lie, and when they are called out - still find a way to overcharge. More
