We had an excellent experience at Marin Acura. We were able to get exactly the car we wanted (2008 TL with the tech package) at a very fair, perhaps very good, price. Best, though, was the straightforward but low pressure way the sales folks dealt with us. They were forthcoming with information about what made the deal make sense for them which allowed us to do the same. In the end we got to their bottom price without trading in our car as they refused to give us more than they could auction it for, a price we were confident we could beat selling it ourselves. And when it came time to manage the financial end, the manager was terrific - gave us very low interest (4.99%) and was a pleasure to deal with. All-in-all, an unexpectedly enjoyable yet businesslike transaction. We recommend this outfit without qualification. More
Marin Acura has been a great resource for me and both Acuras that I've owned. The staff is pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. On my most recent visit for a simple oil change, the tech discovered my Acuras that I've owned. The staff is pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. On my most recent visit for a simple oil change, the tech discovered my battery wasn't holding a charge. Rather than letting this information go unreported and not fixed, the tech replaced the battery at no charge within the last three months of my warranty. I'm not so sure a lesser dealership would gave done the same. Marin Acura provides me peace of mind for a largely trouble free ownership experience. More
I have bought 3 MDX's from this delearship and I keep returning because their customr service is incredible. I am a little daounted by the process of buying/leasing a new car and I cant stand to be inco returning because their customr service is incredible. Dean has gone far and beyond to insure my service at the dealership is painless and does his job with the kind of pride you just don't see anymore. Even when I get news that is not so great on my service, Dean has a way of softening the blow. I usually dislike dealing with dealerships due to some bad experiences both personal and stories from friends. But when i got there he was very professional and he sat me down with edmund to start with paperwork. It all went very well. Ben kept his word and edmund and jean-pierre were easy to talk to and work with. They helped me feel relaxed and reassured me that no 'tricks' will be played and were true there word. All in all it was a great buying experience and I highly recommend this dealership. The customer service was great and the customer service alone was worth the slightly higher price at Marin Acura. We originally came here because of the amazing price we were quoted over the phone. Not only was that price honored, we were exceptionally impressed by the way we were treated by every member of this team were quoted over the phone. We could not have been better taken care of, and that's saying a lot of a car dealership. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anybody looking for an Acura. More
I was an out-of-state buyer so I had more "needs" than the normal in state buyer. First I worked with Ben over the phone to get the right price for me. Although somewhat similar to the back and forth you typically experience, this was expedited since I suspect it was over the phone. I also felt that I might not get the right price over the phone - since a facing experience has a tendency to influence the price and I suspect I could of done better in person however Ben and I aligned - neither got xxxxx neither got robbed - I think we both made out fairly. For those of you who intend to buy a car you need to come prepared with typical pricing for the car Nada pricing, KBB pricing and of course Ebay pricing. This will help with negotiations and streamline the back and forth since the sales staff will either elevate to your knowledge or not. If I could sell a car 4K over book I would. So you need to be prepared - (not to say these guys would). Second, since I was an out of state buyer - Ben arranged for Jim - the coolest cat ever, to pick me up at the airport and take me to the dealership. Once at the dealership the car was exactly as Ben described over the phone - the interior is a 10 the exterior a 9, but overall a 9+ car. Since I needed to drive back to Portland Edmund and Jean Pierre helped expedite the process to get me out the door and on the road. I will say this, from my last experience buying my Ford pickup - and telling the sales guy to Foff - this was quite the opposite. Very nice - very straight up (no xx deal)- very friendly - I am very happy. the only oddball thing out of this whole deal is how out of state sales are made to avoid paying CA sales tax. Not a big deal, but definitely not as easy as buying down the street at your normal dealership. More
