When I informed the dealership of my findings the next day, they stated that I should have seen it and I had to have known about it and that all used sales are final. When you spend the amount of money that I spent that day, you would have hoped to be treated better, but in the end they, like the rest are just another car / used car sales dealership. To be transparent it will have cost me under $700 to repair on my own and I have done so. I would have just thought their reputation as it was obviously damage, they knew about would have meant more that the money. More
I was given incorrect information by the manager of the service department regarding opening a case with Mercedes corporate headquarters. As the owner of a used Mercedes purchased through CarMax, our second class citizen status was clear. Inspection video was nice. Work quality appears solid. Lyft service was appreciated. Left waiting a long time to pick up my car because the ball was dropped. Cashiers were aloof - consistently ignored me without acknowledgment until they were done with whatever they were doing. Jason is friendly and direct, but communication dropped completely at one point, leaving us in the dark as to whether or not we would need to make transportation arrangements for another day. When he says 'I'll work on a loaner for you' I took that to mean: I'll get the paperwork started and we'll have one ready… He meant: I'll see if we have one, but we probably won't. Dealer policy meant that we weren't eligible for a loaner because they were constantly being given to those with priority. This was inconvenient, but understandable I suppose… Just not something we ran into with our Lexus. More
Jason was condescending, Ken or Kieth or whatever his name was who helped me with the courtesy car didn’t even once say hi or even a word to me other then “sign”. Had an appt for service A to be done and I stood around for over 15 minutes watching workers sit around chit chatting. I finally said “I’m leaving, someone can call me if need be cuz like why am I standing here…they took my keys outside already.” I walked home. They never offered me a courtesy car and stated it would take 3 maybe 4 hours. It ended up taking 7 hours? So I had to walk back to get a courtesy vehicle because I had other things to do. Jason was just a smart xxx. This is my first Mercedes and my first interaction with rocklin and I have to say that was irritating and give 0 out of 5 stars. I wish I stuck with Audi. No standing around, you get there, they take your keys, they give you a courtesy car and you are on your way, 5 minutes. And kind. Mercedes rocklin….terrible. More
Went in to make my first ever purchase. Fell in love with a car, they had ripped the price tag off of it so I didn’t know the true value. Ended up costing me thousands more than it was worth because they took full advantage of my excitement. They took all of the excitement and joy out of the experience for me, I can afford the car so whatever but it still makes me anxious and sad when I think about how the buying experience played out. +$100k lesson learned… just do your research and make sure they don’t do shady stuff like rip the price tag on the car. More
