I came in for an oil change. This is the second time I have been here for an oil change. After the first change I noticed that according to the dipstick, the technician had overfilled the crankcase accord have been here for an oil change. After the first change I noticed that according to the dipstick, the technician had overfilled the crankcase according to the owners manual and the sticker on the engine. The manual states that overfilling can result in problems. This time I mentioned to the service writer that the last time it was overfilled. Didn’t seem to matter as after this change once again the engine was overfilled. I realize the manual says the engine requires only 4.3 quarts. I am sure both times the technician put in 5 quarts since that is easier than measuring out the recommended 4.3quarts. I could understand a quick change station would just do what is quick and easy but I would think an authorized Ford dealer would follow Ford guidelines and only put in the amount of oil as listed in the manual and on the sticker on the engine. If overfilling is not a problem, then why is warning listed in both the manual and on the engine? Mike Rollings More
