We are sorry that you feel the way that you do in regard to your experience with our dealership. In reviewing the information in regard to your repair there was a problem stated with the cruise control and we were asked to look into that problem and authorized by you to do so. When a customer raises a concern with the vehicle it is to knowledge that the customer understands what features and technology the customer has and how to use that technology. So, when we are asked to look into a concern, we are expecting it to be an issue with the vehicle not that the customer does not know how the vehicle works. In reviewing with our General Manager that he had extended an offer to have one of our Ford representatives go over the vehicle with you in detail in order for you to understand the vehicle more thoroughly, as the dealer that you bought it from did not do so. Our General Manager also stated that he showed you the systems that our technicians use that would not have told them that your vehicle had that specific option on the vehicle and that they were looking for a problem with the vehicle. The steps to diagnose a vehicle can be time consuming. The technician drove your vehicle for several miles with our computer hooked up to it to monitor the systems looking for an issue. No different than any other profession if you called a plumber or and hvac company and they come out to your house they would charge a service fee. Our goal is to repair vehicles not diagnose them. We are sorry that you feel the way you do, but when we are asked to look into an issue with the vehicle and spend time to do so, we do have to charge in order to do that.
