New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolet's and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1970. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current pre-owned department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude to the sales team at New Motors in Erie, PA. From the day my wife and I walked into the sales showroom where we were very warmly and p and gratitude to the sales team at New Motors in Erie, PA. From the day my wife and I walked into the sales showroom where we were very warmly and professionally greeted by BMW Genius/Client Advisor, Donovan DeBoe, to the day our appointment was made to pick up our custom build 2025 BMW 330i xDrive Sedan, the service we received was second to none. We had visited several dealerships prior to our visit to New Motors only to be disappointed by pushy sales staff attempting to persuade us into settling for something they had on the lot, never presenting the option of ordering a custom build. Donovan also showed us some options on the lot and in the showroom, but he took the time to listen to us and quickly realized a custom build might be a better choice to meet our expectations. Donovan made the experience as stress free as possible. We had so many questions and met with him multiple times where he very patiently worked with us. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable about the product, and if he wasn't 100% sure of something, he consulted the BMW team to get answers. He assisted us step by step in building the car, carefully and thoroughly explained all of the standard and extra features and packages that were available. We were then able to place an order for a car that we would be proud of and happy with. After the car was ordered, Donovan kept us updated on the process. We found his updates reassuring due to the months it took to process. Once the car arrived at the dealership, Donovan notified us and expedited the final processing to ensure we could pick the car up as soon as possible. The car met and in some ways exceeded our expectations. We honestly couldn't be happier with the entire process from start to finish. We feel confident that we will do business with New Motors for years to come and will be sure to recommend their services to friends and family. More
