My wife and I went to Newton Nissan to test drive a used Acura RDX on March 4th. I had called the dealership to schedule a test drive and they gave me to Tom Woods. He spent the next hour bringing three more vehicles up front for us to look at. The third vehicle was a 2012 Nissan Murano (Platinum). We fell in love with the car but we had spent my lunch hour with him and I had to get back to the office. He typically left work at 4:00 p.m. on Mondays but he stayed well over to work with us after I got off work. He always had a smile on his face and in my opion is a very genuine person. My husband and I had been looking for a vehicle for three weeks. We were tired of looking and had just about decided to go with a dealership that we weren't happy with just to get a car and be done with it. weeks. We came in late one evening to just look at a car we had seen online. Tom Woods approached us and helped us with the vehicle. He was very calm and kind, which put us at ease immediately. We didn't intend to buy a car that evening as it was close to closing when we arrived, but Tom assured us that we weren't imposing and that we could take our time making a decision. Tom was unlike any car saleperson either of us have ever dealt with. We both had a good feeling about him from the beginning which has extended even after the purchase. We have already recommended Tom and Newton Nissan to all of our family and feel sure that Tom will get referral business from our network of friends and family based on our experience. I want to tell you about my experience with Tom Woods, I want to tell you about my experience with Tom Woods, I had been next door at a Toyota dealer and walked over to the Nissan lot to compare a few ve I want to tell you about my experience with Tom Woods, I had been next door at a Toyota dealer and walked over to the Nissan lot to compare a few vehiciles while my husband was test driving a toyota. Tom the sales guy came immediately over to me and introduced himself, It was a rainy day but Tom was right there pleasant as ever. I told him I was comparing a few cars while my husband was out driving toyotas, He did not pressure me but offered to show my anything I wanted to see. I walked around and told him I was going back to the Toyota dealership> He offered his name and said to please come back and drive a few of his inventory when we were ready. I appreciated a "no pressure" attitude and the kindness in his voice. The following week we returned to the dealership and the sales folks approached us but I asked for Tom Woods since my first encounter was so positive we chose to come to this particular dealership. The sales guys found him, although we were wanting to look at new cars and he tyically handles preowned he stopped what he was doing to engage with us immediately. I found him to be knowledgable and not your typically pushy car sales guy. I really appreciated his attitude. He asked questions of us so he completely understood what we were looking for and why, He did not try to persuade us to try somethiing that we were not interested in. We were not sold on the interior color of the car we were consideing so Tom looked through his inventory and found another option for us and we took another test drive. As it turns out this car fit our needs. He did his best to make a deal and we finally agreed upon the price. He never got frustrated nor lost his patience with us as other dealers I have worked with do sometimes. After the deal was done he mentioned he was in the running for sales man of the month, but I never felt pressure from him to buy. He seemed to be working as a partner with us and the dealership. I hope he does win a trip or some other accolade he is truly a great employee of this dealership and the manager needs to make sure he stays at this dealership. You definitly dont want him at a competitor as his customers will follow him.
