I have to begin by saying that I am a very frugal, nervous buyer. I owned my previous car for 14 years, and had no clue about what new cars offered, much less what I wanted. I knew that I needed a new vehicle, but I was reluctant and frankly very apprehensive about dealing with sales people.. I had reviewed a lot of different manufacturers, and quickly learned that Nissan automobiles offered the most features, as well as having one of the best safety ratings. So initially I went to Nissan of Staten Island just to test drive the Rogue.
What a pleasant surprise. My sales person, Brian Derrick, quickly put me at my ease, first by explaining the process, then by explaining the Rogue to me in detail. He took his time, telling me that it was a process and that I should feel comfortable before making a decision. He took me for my test drive, showing me all the features before I entered the the car, then allowed me to drive at my own pace. He never rushed me and never pushed me. I liked that.
I was there for a while because I had my old car and wanted to use it as a trade-in. They needed to inspect the car for value. I really didn't think the car was worth much, but the dealership made me a fair offer, far above what I expected. I used it part of my downpayment.Even speaking with the finance officer, Dan, wasn't the nightmare I expected. He was pleasant, efficient, and never once pushed me into buying options that I didn't want.
I recommend this dealership wholeheartedly. I love my new car. And in the future, should I ever want to trade it in, I would absolutely purchase it from Nissan of Staten Island.
