Jim K the Salesman was congenial and helpful but I feel there was a little bait and switch happening with regards to financing presentation, on the web site and in person. The website, when it comes to calculating monthly payments, is less than adequate or helpful. Also, it should not have taken 4 hours to do this deal, ridiculous, when I had been communicating with dealership over the course of a month. Back Office took way too long. I agreed to purchase a 2025 gmc 1500 Denali from Rivard gmc on December 2nd to be picked up the next day at 215pm after work. When I arrived at 215 on the 3rd, the truck was still on their other lot. When they finally got the truck to the dealership it was filthy. They decided to take it back to have it cleaned. When the truck arrived again it had dried hard water spots on it so the salesman made them take it back again. When they tried to clean off the hard water marks they put swirl marks in my brand new black paint. Since it was 6 hours after my scheduled arrival and it was dark outside i took it home and parked it in the garage. Not being prepared for a scheduled appointment pissed me off. I came close to leaving and purchasing elsewhere. I didn’t see the swirl marks until a few days later when I pulled it out in the sun. Now I’m going to have to pay a professional Detailer to correct the swirl marks that Rivard put in my new paint. This is the 3rd brand new vehicle I have purchased from Rivard and will be my last. We were going to replace my wife’s Tahoe next year with a Yukon but it won’t be from Rivard. If this happens on a 75000 truck I’d hate to see what they do to customers who buy cheap Buick encores. Maybe it was because they didn’t make money on financing (paid cash) When I drove it 3 days later a message came on the screen saying that the truck was low on def so I know they didn’t service that. I have a 40 foot motorhome that I drive to Maine and back every year and it don’t use that much def. Very disappointed with Rivard this time. I have always had a good experience there so this will be my last. More
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH DAVE ON A TRUCK ORDER FOR GMC 2025 SIERRA 1500 DENALI. HIS COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS ARE TERRIBLE. WE TALKED ABOUT THE ORDER I SENT HIM ON THE TRUCK. THEN I CALL HIM ABOUT THE TRADE IN ON DEC 23, 2024. HE MENTION THAT I DIDN'T TELL HIM ABOUT THE TRADE IN ON MY TRUCK. I DID AND HE WOULD HAVE A ANSWER WITH A TEXT THE 24 DEC. I NEVER RECEIVED A TEXT FROM HIM ON THE TRUCK. SINCE WE FIRST TALKED ABOUT ORDERING THE NEW TRUCK, I WOULD MENTION ALWAYS ABOUT MY TRADE IN ON MY DENALI. HE IS VERY RUDE AND ARROGANT. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH HIM. THIS IS MY SIXTH TRUCK OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE DEALT WITH DIFFERENT DEALER SHIPS, THIS IS THE IS THE WORSE SALESMAN ,THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ON BUYING A TRUCK. More
Ultimately, Rivard Buick GMC was chosen because of the price (and location) and nothing else. Their price was unbeatable, but frankly the sales staff leaves much to be desired. We also got ghosted on a question we asked after the purchase, which wasn't unexpected, but still not pleasant. More
