Bait and switcheroo ! Saw a Tacoma Pro advertised for $48,802 and contacted them to put a deposit down ( as their Ad suggested). They said (and I have it all in writing), Saw a Tacoma Pro advertised for $48,802 and contacted them to put a deposit down ( as their Ad suggested). They said (and I have it all in writing), "I just talked with my manager and the price listed online is actually not correct. We are currently adding more products to it. We are adding Clear Bra, Xzylon, and tinting the windows." As in $5k of useless add ons to jack up the price. I said I don't want those and will pay the advertised price. They also said I had to pay cash, and "Since it is such a limited vehicle we are also unable to take a deposit on it." Thats not what their website says ! What Dealer ever said you can't put a deposit on a truck ? Thats how you buy a truck / car. You don't just wander around with $48k in cash in your pocket hoping a truck will be available ! Still, I told them I could be at tehr Dealership the following day with a Cashiers check for the advertised price. "Crickets" - no response to multiple follow ups. Left me feeling like I had been slimed. No wonder Car Dealers have such a poor reputation. More
