Royal Moore sales people have stayed with me for the past few months and I appreciate their persistence, but they have, by non-response marked up their vehicles to those desperate enough to bite. I recently found a Tacoma Limited locally and paid MSRP. The chip shortage has hurt everyone, especially car sales in the past year. No doubt the lots have a dearth of inventory. Dealerships like Royal Moore are recuperating losses with strategies that prey on desperate buyers and apply euphemistic terms like ‘market adjustment’ and ‘mark up.’ When the global crisis ends, and it will end, people will remember the dealerships who took advantage of potential customers and avoid patronizing them. They will also remember the dealerships that resisted such undignified practices and will take their business there. More
