Although the sales guy was friendly he came across as unprofessional. In part due to his lack of knowledge/concern to have us prepared to finish the car sale. My experience with the salesperson has been quite frustrating. I traded a used 2023 Dodge Hornet for a used 2014 VW Passat TDI, which had a check engine light on at the time of purchase due to a DPF frustrating. I traded a used 2023 Dodge Hornet for a used 2014 VW Passat TDI, which had a check engine light on at the time of purchase due to a DPF pump issue. Although this was fixed, the engine light has continued to come back on for various exhaust system issues. Unfortunately, the extended warranty has expired, so I am paying out of pocket for these repairs. Additionally, I had to replace the tires, brakes, and rotors, as the ones on the car at the time of purchase were in poor condition. The tires were four years old and dry-rotted, and the brakes were practically non-existent. Now, the car is in shutdown mode because the injector that sprays DEF fluid into the exhaust burnt out, and the secondary water pump for the cooling system failed, with the wiring showing low voltage. Since January, I have spent $5,000 on this car, and it has been in the shop more often than it has been driven. Despite the finance person initially stating they would help me fix the issues related to the engine light, no one is willing to assist because it is a used vehicle. I bought a used 2020 Chevy Silverado LT 1500 with 48,900 miles on January 20,2025, and I had it for 2 months, after I made my first payment I had the check engine light, ABS light, and traction control all miles on January 20,2025, and I had it for 2 months, after I made my first payment I had the check engine light, ABS light, and traction control all come on at once, I called Shottenkirk, and they told me that I had to get it towed to their dealership and it would cost me out of pocket. They refused to help me after that. They have stopped replying to me and have been very rude every time I reached out. I had to take it to a dealership closer to me and come to find out they had to replace all my lifters in my truck and I was told that this is a big safety issue that my wheels and whole engine could’ve locked up if I was on a highway and it was in the shop for 4 weeks and I barely just got out back on Tuesday and the SAME LIGHTS are back on again. I have to take my truck BACK to the dealership to be fixed again. They pressured me to buy this truck and made me write a 5 star google review BEFORE I signed any papers saying I wanted that truck. They sold me a lemon and they are refusing to do anything about it. I WILL NOT be recommending ANYBODY to go here. They didn’t care about my safety when I reported my issues to them. I AM HIGHLY UNSATISFIED with my purchase here. Dont go here because they WILL pressure you to put a 5 star review before you even sign your papers.
