I grew up in Summit and Smythe Volvo has always been a landmark in town. I searched the web once I saw the Volvo XC60 T6 on my ride home from work and I decided to start searching for any certified pre-ow landmark in town. I did and I contacted the dealership and was initially working with Ashley via email and to be honest and I feel a little silly I thought the online vehicles I was seeing were only internet sales. This was cleared up quickly, Being a Summit guy from 3rd grade until college I thought I should give back to the community I grew up in so I decided on Smythe Volvo of Summit, NJ. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and sat down and spoke with Kristian Henriksen who could not have been a nicer young man to deal with he spoke to me as a human being and did not talk down to me when I was asking various questions that some may have thought were silly. I have not bought a car new or used in years so it was like a new experience for me. Everyone I dealt with at the dealership was polite, professional and made me feel at home. In no time at all I was test driving the SUV I ended up picking up only 2 days later as I was so impressed by not only the great vehicle but the great staff at Smythe Volvo. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the area looking to buy a new or used Volvo. I very easily could see myself returning when it comes time to replace my wife's car as she was eyeing a small sporty convertible...We shall see. I'm currently driving my 4th and 5th Volvos. And the 2nd and 3rd are still "in the family." I bought all five from Smythe Volvo and will return when the time comes for number six.
