They all took their time to explain the features of the different cars.But more importantly they wanted to know how many children are in the family ,their ages, and sizes.As Kevin Flanagan said to me , the car needs to work for the whole family. First time buying a volvo. I was interested first in leasing and a friend which drives a volvo recommended your dealership. As I entered the dealership lot I noticed the XC-60 in Terra Bronze and fell i leasing and a friend which drives a volvo recommended your dealership. As I entered the dealership lot I noticed the XC-60 in Terra Bronze and fell in love. I entered the dealer and was warmly greeted by Steve Sargent, very professional, knowledgeable and seen very honest. After I saw the car I had looked in the internet, Mr. Sargent asked me what was wrong, and I explained how I had just fallen in love with the XC-60. After test driving the XC-60 I knew that was the car for me. I went home and thought about it, discussing it with my husband, talked to Mr Sargent on the phone and by email, and I decided I would join the Volvo family. The delivery was a couple of weeks because it was a special order and I wanted the inside in black and the built in booster seats for my granddaughters. The day finally arrived and Mr Sargent explained the all features of the car and also explained other options which we agreed to get. The ownership is friendly (I consider the President Kevin Flanagan a friend first) and they are rigidly honest. I purchased a 2008 CPO XC90 and the price was better than I have ever seen available at any dealership and I researched the purchase extensively. They took my 2006 Audi A8 in trade and paid me the wholesale book price as listed. We now own two Volvos, and we will continue to own only Volvos as long as Kevin and his family own the dealership. I have done work in the dealer industry and Smythe Volvo and its team is unique in their integrity, and the service and the value they provide. More

Nick and Jason went out of their way to remedy a "self-inflicted wound" on my SUV - the side of my garage "collided" with my driver's side mirror, cracking the casing off, shattering some small part "self-inflicted wound" on my SUV - the side of my garage "collided" with my driver's side mirror, cracking the casing off, shattering some small parts and disconnecting the light bulb inside. With Smythe's typical courtesy and efficiency - and Jason's masterful use of black electrical tape - the pieces were put together and, to a casual observer, the mirror looks like new. When I off-handedly mentioned that the plastic molding on the side of the driver's seat had cracked a few months ago (I had duct-taped that myself to stop my coats and sweaters from getting caught in it), Nick mention that it was a warranty issue and a common complaint. Between him and Jason, it was replaced on the spot. Then Jason even re-synched my Bluetooth with my phone - something I had tried to do and failed to accomplish since it mysteriously lost the connection a few days ago. My husband and I have bought at least 6 Volvos from Smythe over the years and although we have always appreciate Craig Melquist's direct and friendly assistance with our purchase/lease, the main reason we return time and time again is because of the fabulous, efficient, courteous and competent service provided by Nick, Tom and their terrific service staff. The entire Smythe team is the gold standard as far as I am concerned and I would (and have) recommend them to friends and family. More

I advocate to anybody I know who is considering a Volvo at all to call Kevin because he is on their side. So many people I know are wary of dealers (including me) but I gladly send my friends to Kevin because he is going to give you the straight scoop on the cars, how they stack up, no-pressure, and a very fair deal. That sort of knowledgeable, respectful, no-pressure approach is one big reason Smythe is one of the top dealers in the nation. Now on to service, headed by Sean Flanagan. Another Flanagan, another stand-up guy, and another first rate operation. Also, the team of service advisors are professional, patient, and upbeat, regardless who you get. There have been many occasions where they have advised me how I can more simply or less expensively address an issue, when service really needs to be done, and have also stood behind all work done. Seriously, these guys are the best. Just look at their old school building, with everybody working in the same space, parts, service, service bays, no fancy waiting room with espresso machine and you can see that it is the people that makes Smythe special, and that is the root of their success - and a great testament to the power and longevity of character.
