Wonderful dealership with excellent service. I have been using Smythe Volvo since 1997. I have never had such wonderful dealings. Both times I purchased my Volvo’s, I was never pressured. It was quite a surprise when I was left alone to decide what I wanted to purchase. Every other car dealership we visited just pressured us and would not stop. When I purchase another Volvo, I wouldn’t think of any dealership but Smythe. It’s the best! The service is excellent and they always fix my problem and I never have had the same problem again. Volvo’s are very reliable but every once in awhile there may be a repair needed. I have always been treated very well. They explain the need for repair very well and always take care it in a timely and friendly manor. More
Even when something goes wrong, Smythe does it right. I recently had my XC90 in for a scheduled service. Unfortunately, something odd occurred which required attention at my home very shortly after I got back. I placed one call to Michael and he immediately put me in contact with Regina. Everything that followed was efficient and exceptional. From Anthony and Bryan coming to attend to the problem, to delivering me a car to use for the weekend. When my car was returned to me, It looked as good as the day I picked it up! This is why we choose to return to Smythe. Exceptional is the norm. I look forward to many more years of servicing my XC90 and our eagerly awaited XC60, which hopefully will arrive in the next two weeks! Thanks for everything. More
Consistently Great Service This time it was Michael Watson...but my comments would apply to any of Smythe's great service team. A particularly evil NYC pot hole turned my 2010 C70 into a low-rider by destroying the right front suspension... tie rod, a-arms...it even broke the macpherson strut, plus two wheels and tires. A flat bed left the car in Symthe's lot in the wee hours of a Sunday morning. Obviously unscheduled, Mike still had the car into a service bay to estimate the damage by the end of Monday. He worked diligently with the insurance adjustor to have the claim approved and settled within a couple days. And had the car back in my hands by Thursday of the following week. The only "wait" was for parts, and for the wheel refinishing. Oh, and he squeezed in a 105k service while he was at it. Thank you to the entire Smythe team for the absolutely terrific service, which is a major reason this is the fifth car I've purchased from Smythe. More

The staff is friendly, courteous, understanding and go above and beyond to make sure that I am happy with the service and ensure my vehicle is back to the way it should be. Dina Thomson is my usual Service Advisor and she is fantastic. She listens to everything, understands the issues going on with my car and ensures that my vehicle is taken care of at the highest level. She is absolutely amazing and goes the extra mile for her customers each and every day. I can't thank her enough for all of her help and all of the things she has done to help me with my vehicle. In addition, Dennis and Regina in the Service Department are helpful as well and have in a time crunch have made accommodations to be sure to fit my car in for service before a trip or a vacation. This is what excellent service looks like day and day out. Every time I visit, my service expectations are always exceeded and the level of service is unlike any Volvo dealer I have been too. More

I go it running by the mechanic who sold it to me but it needed further service that could be done only by trained technicians. I chose to take it to Smythe Volvo in Summit where I met a service writer, Mike Watson. I wanted to have the dash instruments fixed and have the break fluid changed. Michael looked at my dinosaur and the first words out of his mouth were " you bought a great car" I explained that I just wanted a commuting car that would hold up to all driving conditions and would take on the task of a 15,000 mile a year commute. He had his technicians look over every inch of the car and create a shopping list of things that it needed or would need in the future. His list included a pair of wiper blades for the front headlights and a new license plate holder for the front plate. His confidence was pervasive and I had him replace the necessary parts. I ordered a rear tanneau cover from Roger in the parts department and a new dash cluster. I had the new dash cluster installed and now the car is just about perfect. Yes it is old, but so am I (67). Michaels confidence in my Volvo has transferred over to me and I'm not afraid to keep bringing it back to the dealership where you pay a higher labor fee but you get superior and professional service, Michael is absolutely honest, trustworthy and he is sincere when he tells you what you need and what you don't need. He is truly an asset of Smythe Volvo, yes you can get a new car but when it comes time to get something other that a routine oil service, you wonder if you really want to pay dealer prices. The answer is simple. Stand in service and note how many women drive in and approach the counter and talk to their routine service advisor. They describe the problem, surrender their keys and then go up to the lounge or go out for lunch with a friend. The women are not denigrated and talked down to but are treated with respect and given the information to make an informed service decision. Smythe Volvo is a winner, they have great new cars, certified pre-owned cars and they have a service department. My intent in writing this review was to get the president out of his chair and go down stairs to shake Michaels hand and thank him for a job well done. That's not enough, every one in service is working just as hard to meet and exceed client expectations. I was a service manager of a Porshce Audi and Volkswagen dealership years ago and Smythe has earned my service and loyalty in just four visits. My dinosaur will be serviced at Smythe for the next 300,000 miles and then I'll just go upstairs and buy another Volvo( new or used). More
