I'm told there's a leak in my oil housing because there's oil in my scrape guard. $500 plus to repair. I decline and take it to my local mechanic for a sanity check. He says it's not the housing but the chea oil in my scrape guard. $500 plus to repair. I decline and take it to my local mechanic for a sanity check. He says it's not the housing but the cheap oil filter the oil change place put in that was causing the leak. Did my VW mechanic even consider that option? Anyway, I'm fixed for less than $100. I wonder what they'll tell me is wrong when I get my Oxygen Sensor replaced on the 31. Don't be shocked if I decline. Harold Woody was very busy, leading me to believe that more recent models than my 2013 Jetta Wagon are high maintenance. This was not a confidence-building visit. More
