I'm posting this so that anyone researching this Mustang/VIN in the future knows what we discovered before purchasing it. We negotiated to purchase this Mustang from Southwest Kia. We were provided Mustang/VIN in the future knows what we discovered before purchasing it. We negotiated to purchase this Mustang from Southwest Kia. We were provided the dealership's own used-vehicle inspection/reconditioning report. Their technician specifically documented: “OIL PAN SEAPING. RECOMMEND OIL PAN RESEAL.” The dealership's inspection allocated 6.2 labor hours to the oil-pan reseal, but unlike a number of the other reconditioning items, the oil-pan repair was not shown as completed on the report. Other issues identified during the inspection included worn tires, a hanging front bumper, TPMS sensors, washer system, alignment, broken driver's visor and a daytime-running light. Some of those items were repaired. We personally saw that the car had new tires and that the front bumper was no longer hanging. The oil-pan seep was not repaired. What concerns us even more is what happened when we discovered it. We spoke with the dealership on August 31, 2026 about the oil-pan issue. We were told that the repair supposedly would have been included if we had paid the full asking price for the vehicle. That was never disclosed to us during our negotiations. Nobody told us, “The vehicle has an oil-pan leak, and we'll repair it if you pay full price.” We were never given the opportunity to make our offer knowing that a significant mechanical repair was being excluded from the negotiated price. We learned about the oil-pan seep from reviewing their inspection paperwork. After we raised the issue, the dealership told us that because they are selling the vehicle “as is,” they will not repair the oil-pan seep and will not reduce the price to account for the repair. That's why we decided this information should be publicly searchable. I'm not telling anyone whether they should or shouldn't buy the car. I'm posting the VIN and what happened so the next potential buyer can make an informed decision. If you're considering this Mustang, ask Southwest Kia specifically: 1. Has the oil pan been resealed? 2. Ask for the completed repair order proving it. 3. If it hasn't been repaired, get an independent estimate before agreeing on a price. 4. Get an independent pre-purchase inspection before buying the vehicle. As of our conversation with Southwest Kia on August 31, 2026, we were told they would not repair the documented oil-pan seep at our negotiated price because the vehicle was being sold as-is.
