I informed the service department I had already had the vehicle at Maplewood Toyota and they said the engine was bad. I wanted a 2nd opinion on what exactly was wrong with the engine and if it was fixable vehicle at Maplewood Toyota and they said the engine was bad. I wanted a 2nd opinion on what exactly was wrong with the engine and if it was fixable because I did drive the vehicle after I got it back from Maplewood Toyota. We have done a fair amount of business with SC Toyota so had faith they would be helpful with our request. But all I was told yet again was the engine needed to be replaced with no details about what was wrong with the engine which I asked for. I was told a number of other things that were totally incorrect like they had it started, but then could not get it started again. I know this because the person who worked on the car helped me load it on a car dolly when I came to pick it up. Then when I got it home I put a battery charger on it and it started right up. Then drove it off the dolly and on to a different flat bed trailer of a person who purchased the vehicle from me. Again, I got none of the service I asked for and on top of that was told very wrong information. Personally I feel our money should be returned plus the cost of me towing the vehicle to your service center to have it looked at. We purchased the vehicle with a service plan new from SC Toyota new and just recently purchased a new Toyota Highlander with a service plan. But don't think we will be back or at least look for a new Toyota dealer in the future. Chad & Robyn Atkinson. More
