When we had to replace one of our cars, I was not excited about going to dealers. We had visited several dealers and manufacturers of cars and our experience was what we were expecting. The minute we wal about going to dealers. We had visited several dealers and manufacturers of cars and our experience was what we were expecting. The minute we walked into Stingray and met Shannon and the staff we were both put to ease. We had called the night before and he patiently asked us what we wanted. When we got to the dealers, Shannon had our perfect car waiting for us to see. He was patient, did not apply pressure to buy, answered all of our questions. His friendly and knowledgeable personality made us both feel comfortable. Shannon put the excitement of buying a new car back into the experience. I would recommend Stingray and Shannon to anyone I know who is looking for a car. More

Let me just say that Shannon Smith is the man! Earlier in the week I test drove a Camaro at Ferman in Brandon and had the worst experience ever! In my mind I had decided that experience was the very reason I the week I test drove a Camaro at Ferman in Brandon and had the worst experience ever! In my mind I had decided that experience was the very reason I would never buy a Chevy. Despite the terrible service I absolutely fell in love with the vehicle, so I decided to try one more time. I requested a quote from Stingray and like a " god send" Shannon was assigned my case. From the first time I spoke with him he was extremely professional and assured me that Stingray did not go to business the same way as Ferman. We scheduled an appointment for late in the evening even though he was not scheduled to stay that late. As I pulled into the dealership, the first thing I noticed was my Red Camaro sitting out front, I already had goosebumps! My wife and I drove the car around the block and came back for the dreadful negotiation. This is where the real difference between Shannon and Ferman occurred. I communicated to Shannon where I realistically wanted to be, he never came back to me with a price he knew I wasn't willing to pay. He quizzed my wife and I to see if we were members of any associations so that he could utilize any available discount for our benefit. Shannon consulted with his finance manager and came back with a disappointed look on his face because he was close but couldn't get where I wanted to be. He sat at his computer and once again began looking for ways to help me get the car. It was at this time and through his wide open communication style that he discovered my wife had a lease through Toyota on her car. He immediately smiled and said " that's it!" Shannon was able to apply a " lease conquest" rebate to the deal which netted me an extra $1000! I could not tell you how relieved I was to know that there are dealerships out there that truly want to work with the customers! The rest of the experience was smooth sailing and my wife and I were out of there driving the new car home in no time flat. I would highly recommend those who are looking to purchase a new vehicle to go visit Shannon at Stingray, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I have told all my friends and as soon as my wife's lease is up we will be back at Stingray getting her vehicle! Thank you Shannon for making my first ever Chevy purchase an experience worth remembering. You have a customer for life! More

I was texting my buddy and he was checking kelly blue book and others. He has also bought many trucks and advised it was a great deal.It was great not to have to get up and walk around or walk out to fight for the deal.I would highly recommend stingray and shannon to everyone. Between Dana and Steve they probably fielded 100 emails before I ever placed my order for my 2012 SS. Communication was good back and forward throughout the transaction, got me a fair price on my trade (10 before I ever placed my order for my 2012 SS. FYI STINGRAY…….IT DOESN’T COUNT IF YOU JUST “LOOK” LIKE YOU ARE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING, WITHOUT “ACTUALLY” DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!! Update: We were contacted by Brian, used car manager, after my pr YOU ARE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING, WITHOUT “ACTUALLY” DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!! Update: We were contacted by Brian, used car manager, after my previous review. We were thrilled when he said he wanted to repair the problems with the van. In total our vehicle was in the shop for a month over 2 failed attempts to fix it. We asked if they would considered buying it back or letting us trade it in. He said at this point that is what they would do. I was upfront about not wanting to spend any more money. He said would be taken care of and we were told that their mark-up on the vehicle we decide on would be taken off. The next day we were told we would need to come up with an additional $5000 as they decided to NOT take the mark up off after all. I was upset that we had been misled and I had wasted so much time being shown vehicles they knew we would not have considered otherwise at the suggestion of the salesman. We were told that they would be buying back our vehicle at the price we had paid for it and the new deal should be no problem for us because we can ”just extend the repayment of our loan” (Ignoring completely that I had said several times that we did not want a bigger loan). Brian called us back and said that we should just be happy that they fixed most of it, what couldn’t be fixed was not their problem it was the manufacturers and that if we want a car we felt safe and had confidence in we would have to pay more for something from them or the would give us cash value for the defective vehicle they sold us, not what we paid for it to go elsewhere. We were told me about a car they had just taken in, a couple of thousand less. After discussion with my husband we told the salesman that we would spend that extra, to work up the final number as we were getting the financing through our bank. He returned to tell us the asking price had just gone up another $1000 from what we had been told earlier. We left. We looked at their used car inventory online & called about yet another vehicle. Nothing we had originally wanted, but safe, working properly and a price we were willing to pay. My husband again spoke to the salesman to get a final number so we could go to the bank this afternoon and suddenly we are not being given the price we paid for the van for trade in as we were told. I am questioning whether they ever had any intention of allowing us to trade back this defective vehicle or whether they thought as long as they could get us back in there they would be able to sucker us into fattening up their pockets just a little more. We feel like we have been lied to, misled and jerked around for the last 5 days! 11/15/2011 We wanted a safe minivan to comfortably accomodate our family, instead in the 4mos since buying we had to have a back up censor disengaged because it continuosly went off in our garage at night, the locks lock/unlock by themselves (we were told this was fixed, but the salesman later admitted that all he did was change the settings on the dash), the a/c line backed up and soaked the inside floor within a week during our first family vacation in a very long time due to my husbands military career. They stopped returning our calls after I told him that we were extremely unhappy customers, again this was within the week of buying our vehicle. Since then the cruise control turns itself off, the dvd player stops working at times, at 50-55 mph the whole van shakes to the point that I question whether the passenger seat is missing a bolt or not, there is a soft spot on the floor that feels like your foot might go through it and we have had to replace the same turn signal twice. 4 MONTHS!!! We have not had this many problems with our last three vehicles combined and everyday I worry that I am going to find myself stranded with my two kids on the side of the road. We feel like we were "had by a shady used car dealer". More
Not Impressed. At All. Just dealing with the sales people over the phone show me that they are not willing to negotiate or try to make a customer happy. You get passed person to person and my experience I wi over the phone show me that they are not willing to negotiate or try to make a customer happy. You get passed person to person and my experience I will NOT be buying a car from there. I bought one a year and a half ago and WOW have things changed from then. They were not willing to negotiate on vehicle price and gave me a really low trade in offer. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I will go going down the road to spend a little more money and get better customer service. More
Mike fett is the best :-) no playing games up front and honest. Looked out for my best interest and informed me when he thought any deal we were working was not good for me. I've sent friends who have als honest. Looked out for my best interest and informed me when he thought any deal we were working was not good for me. I've sent friends who have also had a great experience and anytime I inquire about a new/used vehicle purchase, mike is the first person I call. This is the only dealership I don't dread going to. This was the 10th new vehicle I have purchased in the past 18 years. This was my first purchase from Stringray Chevrolet and was by far the best buying experience I have ever had. Nothing else has even past 18 years. This was my first purchase from Stringray Chevrolet and was by far the best buying experience I have ever had. Nothing else has even comes close. Each person we dealt with was absolutely incredible and I can honestly say that they made the purchase process fun. Stingray Chevrolet has certainly set the bar for the new vehicle sales experience.
