Levi is an outstanding salesman. He was up front and honest. Whenever we had a question he was always available. I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before purchasing from this dealership. I purchased a used Porsche Cayenne from Suburban Mazda of Farmington Hills on September 8, 2025. decision before purchasing from this dealership. I purchased a used Porsche Cayenne from Suburban Mazda of Farmington Hills on September 8, 2025. Within 24 hours, the check-engine light came on while I was driving home from the hospital at 2 AM. My salesperson informed me that the used-car sales manager would coordinate repairs with Porsche of Novi. The sales manager later called to express frustration and admitted that the vehicle had previously had a check-engine light, which Porsche Novi had supposedly repaired before it was sold. He assured me they would fix it at no cost and return it “in perfect condition.” Unfortunately, that promise was never fulfilled. Timeline of Events Sept 9–17: No update on vehicle. Sept 17: A service advisor at Porsche Novi stated that Mazda had not yet authorized repairs but expected completion by week’s end. Sept 18: The sales manager confirmed that Mazda finally approved the repairs. Sept 23–26: After no progress, I asked if the dealership could reverse the deal due to reliability concerns. The manager said he would speak with finance but never followed up. Sept 27: I was told the reversal would be discussed, but that the vehicle was ready for pickup. Sept 29: When I went to pick it up, Porsche Novi said it still wasn’t ready due to another issue. The sales manager informed me the deal was already “booked and funded” and could not be reversed. He promised to cover my first payment and let me continue using the loaner vehicle. Oct 6–8: Porsche Novi confirmed the vehicle was ready on Oct 6. I picked it up on Oct 7 and returned the loaner, but the promised payment never arrived. The next morning, a coolant warning appeared: “Top up coolant immediately. Do not drive.” I shut off the vehicle to prevent damage. I also reached out to the general manager, who declined to reverse the deal even after my lender agreed to cooperate. Update — October 21, 2025 After more than two months of back-and-forth and over $6,000 spent at Porsche Novi, the check-engine light returned after only 15–30 miles of driving. Multiple follow-up attempts to reach the sales and service teams have gone unanswered. At this point, my confidence in both dealerships is gone. The vehicle remains unreliable, communication has been poor, and the promises made have not been kept. If you’re considering purchasing from Suburban Mazda of Farmington Hills, please proceed with caution. My experience has been marked by delays, poor communication, and a lack of accountability — not what I would expect from a dealership within the Suburban Collection network. Please share. More
