Bought Used Ford Focus from Suburban Toyota Dealership Found what appears to be a good used Ford Focus. The dealership was very responsive to questions and made for a quick and relatively painless process. Found what appears to be a good used Ford Focus. The dealership was very responsive to questions and made for a quick and relatively painless process. Positive Surprises: Vehicle had brand new tires. Engine compartment was detailed. Basic maintenance like oil change and new air filter. Don’t feel like I have to immediately take the vehicle in for service unlike other used cars I looked at. Negative Surprises: Don’t presume basic things like brake/turn signal lights and a washer fluid nozzle is working. Given the effort to detail everything and do basic maintenance like filters and oil changes, one would think their inspection would have found at least the brake/turn signal light problem. Bottom line, check/test everything before you take the car out on public roads! Surprisingly the dealership was unwilling to fix these basic things before the sale. Got a few bucks off the purchase price and used it as an opportunity to show my son how to fix these (under $30). One other thing to mention is they will only take cash (after $3000 on a debit/credit card). They won’t take a personal check or even a cashiers check from a bank. Didn’t offer an electronic funds transfer either. Forced me to set foot in a bank for the first time in years. The negatives aren’t deal breakers just warnings. Overall, I’m happy with the vehicle and overall buying process. More
