Beware of this service dept! !! Took son’s car there to check out brake issue. Got quoted $1200 for pads and rotors. Told them no thank you and I would get 2nd opinion. They then !! As we received car from porter, a mechanic was riding with him and says, “hey, the brake pad “fell off” as we were driving car out”. It is unsafe to drive. Another 2nd shop informed us that “brake pads don’t just fall off”. Very suspicious to us and I do not trust them at all! More

I am appalled at the experience I just had with this location. The people were polite, and Acacia was dope and could work a tablet. I went in to get my steering angle sensor recalibrated. Was told my wait time could take until the end of the business day or may even take until the following day. I made my appointment for 9:50! As I lived almost an hour away with this being the closest place to help me (Hyundai service attendant in O'Fallon was surprisingly rude), I left it with them. The following morning around 11am, I get a review stating that my steering angle sensor threw code C1260. I was also told that I would need to replace the whole steering column just because a mechanic replaced a coupler and stopped my steering wheel from clunking. The 'best' part was when I was shown my estimate: $169 for diagnostic (which I asked for), $3,091.53 for a new steering column I didn't need but was required because my column was fixed with a new coupler not from them, $129 for a four-wheel alignment that I did not need NOR asked for (I just got new tires AND an alignment back in May this year). All of that plus a minor charge for bolts would have brought me up to $3,4091.53. All I wanted was a steering angle sensor recalibration. I had already gotten the sensors checked elsewhere. It's interesting that the amount that it came up to was not too far off from the amount I'd be willing to put as a down payment on a new car. I love my Hyundai Elantra, but when she finally goes, I will never purchase another hyundai in my life. I hope the BBB knows about this kind of 'business' being conducted. Bonus note: I never even got the steering angle sensor recalibrated. More

Service did not call back to let me ask questions and they set up an appointment without me stating when is a good time. then proceeded to not answer the phone when i left messages. the communication was terrible and was charged for a diagnosis which would have been about the same as fixing the thing needed done. do not recommend. I went in for a routine oil change on 10/4/22 and their service team caught my Palisade on fire! I was told by the Servicing Director, Elliot Silk, that the car was safe to drive and there was very little heat damage to the bumper only. He was rude, unapologetic, and very berating. I have a voicemail from him that says, "your vehicle is completely safe to drive, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it." I took it to a third party to get an unbiased diagnosis because of the treatment I was receiving from Elliot. More damage was visible to a professional than what I was being told. Along with the melted bumper, trim, and skid plates, there were melted wire harnesses that could cause a short and another fire if driven. Something Suntrup was not going to fix until I provided them with the estimate. After asking them to repair the damage per the estimate I received, allow me to keep the rental they provided as repairs were being completed, and reserve the right to get it reinspected, they agreed. One business day later, I got an email that said, "Elliot does not agree with all the work on the estimate," and "your satisfaction is contingent on too many variables.” They wanted to cut me a check for the estimate amount, demand their rental car back, and leave me without a car for my family (including 3 kids in car seats). I was threatened, bullied, and harrassed for trying to come to a solution that was fair after the incident. With dealerships not having inventory on their lots that suit my family's needs, mechanics not being able to service repairs for 2 months, rental companies not having 3 row cars to rent this time of year, I was forced to have them buy my car from me for an unfair price (less than what they have the same vehicle on their lot for now with 12k more miles on it) and be without a car. Now, they have my car on the lot for sale without any disclosure of the fire incident. The listing in fact reads "clean vehicle history" which they are all well aware of is a lie. They are heartless. BEWARE OF THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP! I made this post public and they responded with blatant lies. I provided all evidence on my facebook page so they look absolutely foolish. More

I would give negative stars if I could. There service department is a joke. The most unprofessional, useless, lazy, rude, with absolute no customer service. I will not give his last name but he is by far the worst person I have every delt with. He feels the need to lie and make excuses for not performing service. Then he continued to then show aggressive behavior by smaking a desk and throwing his hands up like a child. This is where I got mad and he continued to ask for his name and walked away from me throwing his hands up then turns around to tell me to get out. I'm assuming because he felt the need to show some more aggression. I hope this goes viral and they make some serious changes to their personnel. I'm absolutely taken back by the treatment I received. I will give credit if you have read this long to their sales team. They were more helpful and polite and knew how to treat a customer. Their sales director took care of our situation to the best of his ability and the sales team was nothing but apologetic. Sales team A+, service department terrible. More
